      EXO2 is a 3'-to-5' exonuclease specific for small (primarily 5 nucleotides or less in length) single-stranded RNA and DNA oligomers. RNA Exonuclease 2 (REXO2) takes part in DNA repair, replication, and recombination, and in RNA processing and degradation. EXO2 is involved in resistance of human cells to UV-C-induced cell death via its part in the DNA repair process.

      RAD51D is a member of the RAD51 protein family whose members are extremely similar to bacterial RecA and Saccharomyces cerevisiae Rad51. RAD51 protein family members take part in the homologous recombination and repair of DNA. RAD51D forms a complex with several other members of the RAD51 family which catalyzes homologous pairing between single- and double-stranded DNA, and participates in the early stage of recombinational repair of DNA.

      Protein Phosphatase 1, Regulatory Subunit 8 (PPP1R8) is the RNA-binding subunit of a key species of protein phosphatase-1 in the nucleus. The PPP1R8 enzyme is an inhibitor subunit of the main nuclear protein phosphatase-1 (PP-1). PPP1R8 has RNA-binding activity however it doesn’t cleave RNA and may target PP-1 to RNA-associated substrates. Two isoforms of the PPP1R8 protein are specific inhibitors of type 1 serine/threonine protein phosphatases which can bind but not cleave RNA. The third isoform of the PPP1R8 protein is deficient in of the phosphatase inhibitory activity nonetheless it is a single-strand endoribonuclease comparable to RNase E of E. coli.

      PRMT3, also known as protein arginine N-methyltransferase 3, is a member of the protein arginine methyltransferase family. PRMT3 catalyzes the methylation of guanidino nitrogens of arginyl residues of proteins. PRMT3 operates on 40S ribosomal protein S2 ,rpS2, which is the major in-vivo substrate, additionally PRMT3 is also involved in the proper maturation of the 80S ribosome.

      RAD51 family members are evolutionarily conserved proteins vital for DNA repair by homologous recombination. RAD51B is a part of the RAD51 protein family. RAD51B is involved in the homologous recombination repair (HRR) pathway of double-stranded DNA breaks occurring during DNA replication or induced by DNA-damaging agents. RAD51B forms a stable heterodimer with the family member RAD51C, which interacts with the other family members, such as RAD51, XRCC2, and XRCC3. Overexpression of RAD51B leads to cell cycle G1 delay and cell apoptosis.

      NEFL or Neurofilament light polypeptide is a protein that is encoded through the NEFL gene. NEFL is correlated to a disease called Charcot–Marie–Tooth. The protein’s light subunit is determined by immunoassays in the plasma and cerebrospinal fluid, if present, it can indicate on axonal damage in neurological diseases. By doing so, NEFL can act as a marker for Huntington's disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and multiple sclerosis.
