Introduction
ATP-dependent Clp protease proteolytic subunit (CLPP) is a member of the peptidase family S14. CLPP cleaves peptides in a variety of proteins in a manner which requires ATP hydrolysis. CLPP being the catalytic core of the Clp proteolytic complex is commonly involved in many cellular processes via the regulation of intracellular protein quality. CLPP is responsible for a somewhat general and central housekeeping function rather than for the degradation of specific substrates.

Introduction
PTP4A2 is part of a small class of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTP4A2 is localized to the early endosome that take part in a variety of cellular activities. PTP4A2 protein interacts with the beta-subunit of Rab geranylgeranyltransferase II (beta GGT II), therefore has a role as a regulator of GGT II activity. Overexpression of PTP4A2 in mammalian cells conferred a transformed phenotype, which suggested its role in tumorigenesis.

Introduction
Collapsin response mediator proteins (CRMPs) are cytosolic phosphoproteins involved in neuronal differentiation and axonal guidance. CRMP2 was previously shown to mediate the repulsive effect of Sema3A on axons and to participate in axonal specification. The X-ray crystal structure of murine CRMP1 was determined at 2.1 resolution and demonstrates that CRMP1 is a bilobed ‘lung-shaped’ protein forming a tetrameric assembly.

Introduction
Mammalian mitochondrial ribosomal proteins are encoded by nuclear genes and help in protein synthesis within the mitochondrion. Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit and have about 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein S2 (MRPS2) is a 28S subunit protein which is a part of the ribosomal protein S2 family and comprises a 12S rRNA and about 30 distinct proteins.

Introduction
Inorganic pyrophosphatase (ppa) is a member of the Ppase family. PPA is an enzyme which catalyzes the conversion of one molecule of pyrophosphate to two phosphate ions. Since this is a highly exergonic reaction, it can therefore be coupled to unfavorable biochemical transformations in order to drive these transformations to completion. The role of the PPA enzyme is a critical one in the lipid metabolism (including lipid synthesis and degradation), calcium absorption and bone formation, DNA synthesis, as well as other biochemical transformations.

Introduction
Glycoprotein Nmb (GPNMB) is a member of the PMEL/NMB family. GPNMB is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein which exhibits homology to the pMEL17 precursor, a melanocyte-specific protein. GPNMB is expressed in the lowly metastatic human melanoma cell lines and xenografts but has no expression in the highly metastatic cell lines. GPNMB might be involved in growth delay and reduction of metastatic potential. GPNMB is up-regulated in a number of cancer cells, including in glioblastoma multiforme. GPNMB is expressed in many melanoma cells, as well as in tissue macrophages, including liver Kuppfer cells and lung alveolar macrophages, in podocytes and in some cells of the ciliary body of the eye (at protein level). GPNMB is hardly detectable in the healthy brain.

Introduction
Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Type IVA Member 3 (PTP4A3) is a member of a small class of prenylated protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) which remove phosphate modifications from tyrosine residues on proteins. PTP4A3 enhances cell proliferation, cell motility and invasive activity. PTP4A3 functions as a protein tyrosine phosphatase which stimulates progression from G1 into S phase during mitosis. PTP4A3 is mostly expressed in cardiomyocytes and skeletal muscle; it is also found in the pancreas.
PTP4A3 is always overexpressed in colon cancer metastasis. PTP4A3 is notably overexpressed in liver metastasis of colorectal cancer. High levels of PTP4A3 expression are linked to tumorigenesis and metastasis; therefore it is overexpressed in metastatic colorectal, ovarian, liver and skin cancers. PTP4A3 may be involved in the progression of cardiac hypertrophy by inhibiting intracellular calcium mobilization in response to angiotensin II. PTP4A3 is inhibited by sodium orthovanadate and peroxovanadium compounds. -

Introduction
PTPN6 is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. N-terminal part of this PTP contains two tandem Src homolog (SH2) domains, which act as protein phospho-tyrosine binding domains, and mediate the interaction of this PTP with its substrates. This PTP is expressed primarily in hematopoietic cells, and functions as an important regulator of multiple signaling pathways in hematopoietic cells. This PTP has been shown to interact with, and dephosphorylate a wide spectrum of phospho-proteins involved in hematopoietic cell signaling. Multiple alternatively spliced variants of this gene, which encode distinct isoforms, have been reported.

Introduction
TDP1 belongs to the phospholipase D family and contains two PLD phosphodiesterase domains. TDP1 is involved in repairing stalled topoisomerase I-DNA complexes by catalyzing the hydrolysis of the phosphodiester bond between the tyrosine residue of topoisomerase I and the 3-prime phosphate of DNA. TDP1 may also remove glycolate from single-stranded DNA containing 3-prime phosphoglycolate, suggesting a role in repair of free-radical mediated DNA double-strand breaks. Mutations in the TDP1 gene are linked to the disease spinocerebellar ataxia with axonal neuropathy (SCAN1).

Introduction
mRNA turnover protein 4 homolog (MRTO4) is a member of the ribosomal protein L10P family. MRTO4 is a protein sharing a low level of sequence similarity with ribosomal protein P0. Though the precise function of the MRTO4 is presently unknown, it seems to be involved in mRNA turnover and ribosome assembly. MRTO4 is a nucleolar component of the ribosome assembly apparatus which shares remarkable similarity and contends for binding to the 25S rRNA GAR domain with the ribosomal protein P0. The MRTO4 gene is located on human chromosome 1, which extends over 260 million base pairs, is comprised of over 3,000 genes and contains approximately 8% of the human genome.
