    • Introduction

Recombinant Human Holo Transferrin is an iron-delivery signaling protein which functions in the delivery of Fe³⁺ iron to cells using transferrin receptor-1 (TfR1/CD71).
Holo-transferrin binds TfR1, undergoes receptor-mediated endocytosis and the iron is released intracellularly. Transferrin Human Recombinant is crucial for brain and the nervous system, neuronal mitochondrial metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, oligodendrocyte myelination and synaptic activity. Recombinant holo-transferrin can be used in cell therapy, stem-cell expansion, CHO production, or drug-delivery platforms.

    • Introduction

Hepatitis B is one of a few known non-retroviralviruses which employ reverse transcriptionas a part of its replication process. (HIV, a completely unrelated virus, also uses reverse transcription, but it is a retrovirus.) HBV invades the cell by binding to surface receptor and become internalized. The viral core particles then migrate to the hepatocyte nucleus and the partially double-stranded, relaxed circular genomes (RC-DNA) are repaired to form a covalently closed circular DNA (cccDNA), which is the template for viral genomic and sub-genomic RNAs by cellular RNA polymerase II. Of these, the pregenomic RNA (pgRNA is selectively packaged into progeny capsids and is then reverse-transcribed into new RC-DNA. The core can either bud into the endoplasmic reticulum to be enveloped or exported from the cell or recycled back into the genome for conversion to cccDNA.

    • Stability

HBV Core protein although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C. Please prevent freeze thaw cycles.

    • Introduction

HCV is a small 50nm, enveloped, single-stranded, positive sense RNAvirus in the family Flaviviridae.
HCV has a high rate of replication with approximately one trillion particles produced each day in an infected individual. Due to lack of proofreading by the HCV RNA polymerase, the HCV has an exceptionally high mutation rate, a factor that may help it elude the host's immune response. Hepatitis C virus is classified into six genotypes(1-6) with several subtypes within each genotype. The preponderance and distribution of HCV genotypes varies globally. Genotype is clinically important in determining potential response to interferon-based therapy and the required duration of such therapy. Genotypes 1 and 4 are less responsive to interferon-based treatment than are the other genotypes (2, 3, 5 and 6).

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile filtered colorless solution.

    • Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

ProSpec's products are furnished for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as drugs, agricultural or pesticidal products, food additives or household chemicals.

Treponema pallidum is a gram-negative spirochaete bacterium and is considered to be metabolically crippled. There are at least four known subspecies: T. pallidum pallidum, T. pallidum pertenue, T. pallidum carateum and T. pallidum endemicum. The helical structure of T. pallidum pallidum allows it to move in a corkscrew motion through viscous mediums such as mucus. Treponema pallidum sub sp. pallidum has one of the smallest bacterial genomes at 1.14 million base pairs (Mb) and has limited metabolic capabilities, reflecting its adaptation through genome reduction to the rich environment of mammalian tissue.

    • Introduction

HERVK is related with several tumors such as passenger virus, and anti-Retroviral therapy against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis/ALS has exhibited to decrease the symptoms of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis/ALS. High counts of viral sequences exist in the human genome but stay silent. Though, in pathological conditions, these viruses are produced. Human Endogenous Retrovirus-K, is produced in neurons of a subpopulation of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis/ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease. The envelope protein of this HERV results in degeneration of neurons, and transgenic animals producing this protein advance an ALS-like syndrome triggered by nucleolar dysfunction in motor neurons. Reactivation of the HERVK is controlled by the transcription factor TDP-43. Therefore, therapeutic tactics against this virus alter the course of the disease.

    • Background

CRH is a neuropeptide which regulates body's response to stress. CRH takes part in the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis which controls the production of cortisol and other glucocorticoids. CRH is synthesized in different tissues such as the brainstem, hypothalamus and peripheral organs. In Pregnancy, CRH regulates parturition and fetal development. CRH binds 2 types of receptors- CRH receptor 1 and CRH receptor 2, both are G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). After binding CRHR1, CRH initiates a cascade of intracellular signalling which leads to the release of ACTH from the anterior pituitary. This release stimulates cortisol secretion from the adrenal glands, which is necessary for controlling the body's stress response and maintain energy balance and immune function.

    • Stability

HCV NS5 Genotype-1a although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C. Please prevent freeze thaw cycles.

    • Applications

HCV NS5 Genotype-1a antigen is suitable for ELISA and Western blots, excellent antigen for detection of HCV with minimal specificity problems.

    • Introduction

Stem cell factor / KIT ligand (SCF) is a cytokine which binds CD117(c-Kit). SCF is also known as "steel factor" or "c-kit ligand". SCF exists in two forms, cell surface bound SCF and soluble (or free) SCF. Soluble SCF is produced by the cleavage of surface bound SCF by metalloproteases. SCF is a growth factor important for the survival, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells and other hematopoietic progenitor cells. One of its roles is to change the BFU-E (burst-forming unit-erythroid) cells, which are the earliest erythrocyte precursors in the erythrocytic series, into the CFU-E (colony-forming unit-erythroid).

    • Introduction

ALAD form porphobilinogen (a precursor of heme, cytochromes and other hemoproteins) by catalyzing the compression of 2 molecules of delta-aminolevulinate. ALAD catalyzes the second step in the porphyrin and heme biosynthetic pathway; zinc is vital for enzymatic activity. ALAD has 8 identical subunits and its enzymatic activity is inhibited by lead. Mutations in the ALAD structural gene are the source for high sensitivity to lead poisoning and acute hepatic porphyria.

    • Introduction

The HSP70 family is found in many intracellular compartments such as chloroplasts, endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, and cytosol. These proteins are induced by a variation of biological stresses, including heat stress, in every organism. HSP70 has a range of functions. For example: HSP70 acts as molecular chaperones facilitating the assembly of multi-protein complexes, HSP70 take part in the translocation of polypeptides across cell membranes and to the nucleus, and HSP70 assists in the proper folding of nascent polypeptide chains.
HSP70 is a mitochondrial import equipment and has a crucial part in the cytosolic endoplasmic reticulum. Lately, extracellular localized HSP was discovered to take an important part in the induction of a cellular immune response.

    • Introduction

NRAS binds GDP/GTP and has intrinsic GTPase activity. NRAS is a membrane protein that shuttles between the Golgi apparatus and the plasma membrane. This transport is regulated through palmitoylation and depalmitoylation by the ZDHHC9-GOLGA7 complex. NRAS is activated to a GTP-bound form by a GTPase activating protein and inactivated to a GDP-bound form by a guanine nucleotide-exchange factor. Defects in this NRAS gene result in juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia.
