Replication Protein A2 (RPA2) is a single stranded DNA binding protein. Human RPA2 is a heterotrimeric protein containing subunits of 14, 32 and 70kDa. The RPA2 protein complex is highly conserved in eukaryotes and is crucial in DNA replication, homologous recombination and nucleotide excision repair. RPA2 C-terminus specifically interacts with the DNA repair enzyme UNG2 and repair factors XPA and Rad52, each of which functions in a different repair pathway. Additionally, RPA2 binds specifically to the SH2 domain of Stat3 in vivo, and overexpression of RPA2 corresponds to the augmented growth factor-stimulated tyrosine phosphorylation and transcription activities of Stat3.

ATOX1 is a metal transport protein that is part of the ATX1 family. ATOX1 is a copper chaperone that takes part in cellular antioxidant defense and can bind and deliver cytosolic copper to the copper ATPase proteins in the trans-Golgi network for later incorporation to the ceruloplasmin. ATOX1 plays a role as an antioxidant against superoxide and hydrogen peroxide, and consequently, takes an important part in cancer carcinogenesis. STARD5 is a member of the STARD family of proteins. Alpha crystallins are composed of two gene products ; alpha-A and alpha-B, for acidic and basic, respectively. BATF is a nuclear basic leucine zipper protein which is a member of the AP-1/ATF superfamily of transcription factors. BATF is intensely expressed in mature T and B lymphocytes, and is up-regulated after transformation by human T-cell leukemia virus type I. BATF acts as a tissue-specific modulator of the AP-1 transcription complex in human cells.
