WIBG is a cooperateing partner of Mago-Y14. The Mago-Y14 heterodimer is a key protein of the EJC(exon junction complex) that is deposited on mRNAs as a consequence of splicing and influences postsplicing mRNA metabolism. WIBG is a cytoplasmic RNA-binding protein that is excluded from the nucleus by Crm1. WIBG relates directly with Mago-Y14 by means of its N-terminal domain.

FABP1 (Fatty acid binding protein1) encodes the fatty acid binding protein found in liver. FABP1 is composed of ten antiparallel beta strands that form a barrel with a bigger binding pocket than the other FABPs allowing it to accommodate two fatty acid. This protein binds free fatty acids and their coenzyme A derivatives, bilirubin, and some other small molecules in the cytoplasm; it may be involved in intracellular lipid transport and metabolism.

It includes the Human EGF amino acid sequence plus a 53 amino acid N-terminal extension peptide.

CFI cleaves and inactivates C3b and C4b. CFI is inactive without a cofactor such as the soluble factor H and C4b binding protein. CFI cleaves the alpha-peptide chain of C3b and C4b when these binds1 of the cofactors. This cleavage inactivates all of the complement activating functions of these proteins producing iC3b and iC4b.CFI cleaves the alpha chain of C3b twice and this releases a small fragment called C3f. CFI can cleave iC3b releasing C3c from C3dg in the presence of CR1.C4b is cleaved rapidly at 2 sites separating C4c from C4d.

Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 3 (CXCL3) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family that is also known as GRO3 oncogene (GRO3), GRO protein gamma (GROg) and macrophage inflammatory protein-2-beta (MIP2b). CXCL3 controls migration and adhesion of monocytes and mediates it effects on its target cell by interacting with a cell surface chemokine receptor called CXCR2. The gene for CXCL3 is located on chromosome 4 in a cluster of other CXC chemokines.

Borrelia belongs to a genus of bacteria of the spirochete phylum. Borrelia causes borreliosis, which is a zoonotic, vector-borne disease transmitted mainly by ticks and some by lice, depending on the species. Of the 36 known species of Borrelia, 12 are distinguished to cause Lyme disease or borreliosis and are transmitted by ticks. The main Borrelia species causing Lyme disease are Borrelia burgdorferi, Borrelia afzelii, and Borrelia garinii. The Borrelia genus members have a linear chromosome which is about 900 kbp in length as well as an excess of both linear and circular plasmids in the 5-220 kbp size range. The plasmids are atypical, as compared to most bacterial plasmids, since they contain many paralogous sequences, a large number of pseudogenes and, in some cases, essential genes. Moreover, a number of the plasmids have features suggesting that they are prophages.

CSTA is a stefin that functions as a cysteine protease inhibitor, forming tight complexes with papain and the cathepsins B, H, and L. It has been proposed that extracellular CatB together with other classes of proteinases are all subjected to a cascade-like manner of activation. MYL1 gene encodes a myosin alkali light chain expressed in fast skeletal muscle. Two transcript variants have been identified for the MYL1 gene. In humans MYL1 is localized to chromosome 2q32.1-qter. The Myl1 locus encodes two alkali myosin light chains- Mlc1f and Mlc3f, from two promoters that are differentially regulated throughout development. The Mlc1f promoter is active in embryonic, fetal and adult fast skeletal muscle while the Mlc3f promoter is upregulated during fetal development and stays on in adult fast skeletal muscle.
