      TSNAX is a member of translin family. TSNAX particularly interacts with translin, a DNA-binding protein that binds consensus sequences at breakpoint junctions of chromosomal translocations. TSNAX works in combination with TSN as an endonuclease involves in the activation of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). TSNAX has bipartite nuclear targeting sequences that afford nuclear transport for translin, which lacks any nuclear targeting motifs.

      PABPN1 is an highly expressed nuclear protein which has high affinity to nascent poly(A) tails. PABPN1 is essential for progressive and efficient polymerization of poly(A) tails at the 3' ends of eukaryotic transcripts and regulates the length of the poly(A) tail to about 250 nt. In its steady-state, PABPN1 is restricted to the nucleus however there are different poly(A) binding proteins which can be found in the cytoplasm. PABPN1 has a GCG trinucleotide repeat at the 5' end of the coding region. Expansion of this repeat from the normal 6 copies to 8-13 copies results in autosomal dominant oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy (OPMD) disease. Associated pseudogenes were located on chromosomes 19 and X. Additionally, there is a read-through transcription between PABPN1 gene and the adjacent upstream BCL2L2 (BCL2-like 2) gene.

    • Introduction

      Trypsin is a serine protease that hydrolyses proteins, it is found in the digestive system of numerous vertebrates. Trypsin is produced as the inactive proenzyme trypsinogen in the pancreas. Trypsin cleaves peptide chains at the carboxyl side of the amino acids lysine and arginine, except when either is followed by proline. Trypsin is secreted into the duodenum, where it acts to hydrolyses peptides into amino acids, which is necessary for the uptake of protein in the food even though peptides are smaller than proteins; they are still too big to be absorbed through the lining of the ileum. The optimal operating pH for Trypsins is about 8 and about 37°C temperature. In cystic fibrosis disease there is a deficiency in transport of trypsin and other digestive enzymes from the pancreas. Trypsin is widely used in various biotechnological processes since it’s available in high quantity in the pancreases, and can be purified rather easily.

      Testis-specific serine/threonine-protein kinase 6 (TSSK6) is an intronless gene, which belongs to the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family. The TSSK6 protein contains one protein kinase domain. TSSK6 is highly expressed in the testis and lowly expressed in the colon, prostate, thymus, small intestine, and peripheral blood leukocytes. TSSK6 interacts with the heatshock proteins HSPA8, HSPCB, and HAPA1A; these interactions seem to be essential for TSSK6 kinase activity. TSSK6 plays a role in DNA condensation during postmeiotic chromatin remodeling. In addition, TSSK6 is required for sperm production and function.
