DBI, also known as Acyl-CoA-binding protein isoform 2, is a binding inhibitor, which is regulated by hormones. DBI participates in lipid metabolism and in the displacement of beta-carbolines & benzodiazepines, which modulate signal transduction at type A gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors located in brain synapses. Moreover, during adipocyte differentiation the expression of DBI is significantly induced. DBI preforms as an acyl-CoA pool former and regulates LCFA (long-chain fatty acids) metabolism in peripheral tissues.

Jun dimerization protein 2 (JDP2) is a component of the AP-1 transcription factor which inhibits transactivation mediated by the Jun family of proteins. JDP2 is involved in various transcriptional responses associated with AP-1 such as UV-induced apoptosis, cell differentiation, tumorigenesis and antitumogeneris. In addition, JDP2 can act as a repressor by recruiting histone deacetylase 3/HDAC3 to the promoter region of JUN. JDP2 controls transcription via direct regulation of the modification of histones and the assembly of chromatin.

Integrins are heterodimeric proteins consist of alpha and beta subunits. There are more than 18 alpha and 8 beta subunits discovered in mammals. Integrin family members are membrane receptors that participates in cell adhesion and recognition in a variety of processes including embryogenesis, hemostasis, tissue repair, immune response and metastatic diffusion of tumor cells. TGFBI is an extracellular matrix protein induced by transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta 1. TGFBI protein is involved in cell growth, cell differentiation, wound healing and cell adhesion. Astyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 11 isoform 2 (PTPN11), is a member of the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family, non-receptor class 2 subfamily. NCK1 is an adapter protein which binds with tyrosine-phosphorylated growth factor receptors or their cellular substrates. NCK1 maintains low levels of EIF2S1 phosphorylation by promoting its dephosphorylation by PP1.
