Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) are a group family with more than 150 related viruses. HP 6 and 11 considered as low-risk HPVs can be sexually transmitted, causing warts to emerge on or around the genitals or anus, known as condylomata acuminate. HPV-6 major/large capsid antigen is used in clinical diagnosis to test the specific antibody to this virus induced by the virus infection, the positive reaction of this antibody is deemed as a marker for present and past infection. Furthermore, HPV-6 large capsid is used as a potential candidate for vaccine development.

Genotypes 1 and 4 are less responsive to interferon-based treatment than are the other genotypes (2, 3, 5 and 6). HCV NS3 (genotype 1b) contains 2 domains which are serine protinase and helicase. C33c is a fragment of NS3 containing the most important epitopes recognized by HCV antibody.

In reaction to apoptotic signaling, BID interacts with another Bcl-2 family of cell death regulators, called Bax, they form a heterodimer resulting to the insertion of Bax into the outer mitochondrial membrane. SARS Coronavirus is an enveloped virus containing 3 outer structural proteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), and spike (S) proteins. Spike (S)-glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellular receptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viral entry into susceptible target cells. Accordingly, S-protein takes part in virus infection cycle and is the primary target of neutralizing antibodies.

KAT2A (GCN5L2 or GCN5) is a histone acetyltransferase (HAT), which functions mainly as a transcriptional activator. GCN5L2 may be one of the enzymes involved in acetylation in vivo. GCN5 is expressed primarily in the embryo and newborn and is crucial for normal embryonic development. Hence, KAT2A appears to be significant for differentiation of embryonic-derived preadipocytes. CRP is an acute phase protein that correlates with inflammatory disease and is synthesized by hepatocytes during the acute phase response by certain cytokines (IL-1 and TNF Alpha and Beta).
