Molybdenum Cofactor Synthesis 2 (MOCS2) is a heterotetrameric synthase comprised of 2 small (MOCS2A) and 2 large (MOCS2B) subunits. Both the large and small subunits of molybdopterin synthase are encoded from the MOCS2 gene by overlapping open reading frames. MOCS2 operates in the second step of the molybdenum cofactor or molybdopterin (MPT) synthesis. MOCS2 catalyzes the formation of MPT from precursor Z by incorporating a dithiolene functional group.

Oligonucleotide Binding Fold Containing 1 (OBFC1) is a part of the CST complex, a complex which binds to single-stranded DNA and is essential to defend telomeres from DNA degradation. The CST complex binds single-stranded DNA with high affinity in a sequence-independent way, whereas isolated subunits bind DNA with low affinity by themselves. The role of the CST complex is less specific in DNA metabolism at non-telomeric sites.

Phospholipase A2 (PLA2) catalyzes the hydrolysis of the sn-2 position of membrane glycerophospholipids to liberate arachidonic acid (AA), a precursor of eicosanoids including prostaglandins and leukotrienes. RAD51D is a member of the RAD51 protein family whose members are extremely similar to bacterial RecA and Saccharomyces cerevisiae Rad51. RAD51D forms a complex with several other members of the RAD51 family which catalyzes homologous pairing between single- and double-stranded DNA, and participates in the early stage of recombinational repair of DNA.

tRNA aspartic acid methyltransferase 1 (TRDMT1) is a member of the C5-methyltransferase family. TRDMT1 specifically methylates cytosine 38 in the anticodon loop of tRNA(Asp). TRDMT1 is a protein responsible for the methylation of aspartic acid transfer RNA, particularly at the cytosine-38 residue in the anticodon loop. In addition, the TRDMT1 enzyme has residual DNA-(cytosine-C5) methyltransferase activity. TRDMT1 is expressed ubiquitously; however it has a higher expression in the testis, ovary and thymus and at much lower levels in the spleen, prostate, colon, small intestine, and peripheral blood leukocytes. Though similar in sequence and structure to DNA cytosine methyltransferases, the TRDMT1 gene is distinctive and extremely conserved in its function between taxa.

The IL-1 family members display a 12 b-strand, b-trefoil configuration, and are thought to have ascended from a mutual ancestral gene. Mouse IL-36b/IL-1F8 is a 183 amino acid protein which holds no signal sequence, no prosegment and no potential N-linked glycosylation site(s). Mouse IL-36b like its human homologue is actively secreted. Mouse IL-36?/IL-1F8 shares 61-74% aa homology with human IL-36?/IL-1F8 isoform 2 and rat IL-1F8.

CD276, belongs to the B7 family of immunoregulatory transmembrane glycoproteins expressed by T cells. CD276 is a costimulatory molecule for T cell activation in addition to IFN-gamma production. Furthermore CD276 upregulates BRCC3 expression, preventing DNA defects caused by 5-Fu. CD276 is correlated with TNM stage of NSCLC and act as a potential biomarker for NSCLC-derived MPEs. CD276 inhibits natural-killer mediated cell lysis in tumor cells, and act as a marker for detection of neuroblastoma cells. CD276 is implicated in the development of acute as well as chronic transplant rejection and in the regulation of lymphocytic activity at mucosal surfaces. In addition, CD276 provides the placenta & fetus a proper immunological environment during the course of pregnancy.

Interleukin-18 Binding Protein (IL18BP) serves as an inhibitor of the proinflammatory cytokine, IL18. IL18BP binds IL18, inhibits the binding of IL18 to its receptor, and consequently inhibits IL18-induced IFN-gamma production, resulting in reduced T-helper type 1 immune responses. Dickkopf-related protein 2 (DKK2) is a member of the dickkopf family, which has a vital role in vertebrate development, where they locally inhibit Wnt regulated processes such as antero-posterior axial patterning, limb development, somitogenesis and eye formation. In adults, Dkks are involved in bone formation and bone disease, cancer and Alzheimer disease. Shiga-like toxin (verotoxin) is a toxin produced by some strains of Escherichia coli. Shiga-like toxin is named for its similarity to the AB5-type Shiga toxin produced by the bacteria Shigella dysenteriae. There are two known types-SLT1 and SLT2. The Shiga-like toxin is linked with hemolytic-uremic syndrome. Shiga-like toxin requires highly specific receptors on the cells'' surface in order to attach and enter the cell. Species such as cattle, swine, and deer which do not carry these receptors may harbor toxigenic bacteria without any ill effect, dropping them in their feces, from where they may be distributed to humans. Shiga Like Toxin-1 Subunit B has nontoxic action, it is the functional region which binds to the receptor. The Shiga Like Toxin-1 Subunit B can be useful in vaccine study, antibody test and other functional research.

Synaptic vesicle membrane protein VAT-1 homolog (VAT1) is a member of the quinone oxidoreductase subfamily of zinc-containing alcohol dehydrogenase proteins. Synaptic vesicles are in charge of regulating the storage and release of neurotransmitters in the nerve terminal. VAT1 has an increased calcium ion-dependent expression in glioblastomas and on wounding, in basal keratinocytes. VAT1 is an abundant integral membrane protein of cholinergic synaptic vesicles and is believed to be involved in vesicular transport.
