Description

PLGF2 Human Recombinant (19-170 a.a.) produced in CHO is a disulfide-linked homodimeric, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 152 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 33kDa.The PLGF-2 Human Recombinant protein is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

  • Introduction

    PLGF is a growth factor active in angiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration. It binds to receptor vegfr-1/flt1.
    PLGF-2 binds neuropilin-1 and 2 in a heparin-dependent manner.

  • Stability

    Lyophilized PLGF-2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution PLGF2 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

    It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized PLGF2 at 200µg/ml in PBS, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

The Growth Factor proteins are both full length and partial while majority of them are active mature proteins rather than a full-length precursor. 8. What is the endotoxin level in Growth Factors and how do you test LPS ?

ProSpec measures endotoxin using the Limulus Amebocyte Lysate [ LAL ] assay such as Gel-Clot.
ProSpec standard Endotoxin level for cytokines is usually <1 EU/ug.

9. Is there host cell protein contamination?
