  • Introduction

    MYL4 is a hexameric ATPase cellular motor protein which is composed of two nonphosphorylatable alkali light chains, two heavy chains and two phosphorylatable regulatory light chains. MYL4 encodes a myosin alkali light chain which is located in embryonic muscle and adult atria. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein were found for this gene.

  • Immunogen

    Anti-human MYL4 mAb, clone PAT4E8AT, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human MYL4 protein 1-197 amino acids purified from E. coli.

  • Applications

    The antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended starting dilution is 1:1000.
