Description

The CYR61Human is created as a recombinant protein with a 4kda N-terminal fusion of His Tag. The CYR61His-Tagged Fusion Protein, produced in E. coli, is a 17kDa protein containing 107 amino acid residues of the CYR61Human, 275-381 amino acids.

    Store lyophilized CYR61at -20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C.

    It is recommended to add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it on cell culture.

    Cysteine-Rich Angiogenic Inducer 61 also known as CYR61 is a growth factor-inducible, immediate-early gene which has many activities in various cancers. CYR61 is a part of to the CCN family a group of secreted extracellular matrix-associated proteins which regulate diverse biological processes including cell adhesion, proliferation, migration, survival and angiogenesis. CYR61 plays a significant role in development, tissue repair, wound healing, and various pathological conditions such as cancer and fibrosis. CYR61 is encoded by a growth factor-inducible immediate-early gene. CYR61 promotes the adhesion of endothelial cells by interaction with integrin and enhances growth factor-induced DNA synthesis in the same cell type.
