    Escherichia Coli.

    Formulation

    TFB1M protein solution (0.5mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 20% glycerol, 0.1M NaCl and 1mM DTT.

    More Info

    • Introduction

TFB1M is a member of the methyltransferase superfamily. TFB1M is a dimethyltransferase which methylates mitochondrial 12S rRNA at the conserved stem loop. The TFB1M protein also is part of the basal mitochondrial transcription complex and is required for mitochondrial gene expression. TFB1M stimulates transcription independently of the methyltransferase activity.

    • Synonyms

      Dimethyladenosine transferase 1 mitochondrial, Mitochondrial 12S rRNA dimethylase 1, Mitochondrial transcription factor B1, h-mtTFB, h-mtTFB1, hTFB1M, mtTFB1, S-adenosylmethionine-6-N'-N'-adenosyl(rRNA) dimethyltransferase 1, TFB1M, CGI-75, CGI75, mtTFB.

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile Filtered clear solution.

    • Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

    Source

    Escherichia Coli.

    Formulation

    TFB2M protein solution (0.5mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15M NaCl, 10% glycerol and 1mM DTT.

Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

    More Info

    • Introduction

Transcription Factor B2, Mitochondrial (TFB2M) is an S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyltransferase which specifically dimethylates mitochondrial 12S rRNA at the conserved stem loop. In addition, TFB2M is essential for basal transcription of mitochondrial DNA, most likely via its interaction with POLRMT and TFAM. TFB2M promotes transcription independently of the methyltransferase activity. TFB2M like TFB1M, activates transcription of mitochondrial DNA more effectively, whilst having less methyltransferase activity.

    • Synonyms

      Dimethyladenosine transferase 2 mitochondrial, Hepatitis C virus NS5A-transactivated protein 5, HCV NS5A-transactivated protein 5, Mitochondrial 12S rRNA dimethylase 2, Mitochondrial transcription factor B2, h-mtTFB, h-mtTFB2, hTFB2M, mtTFB2, S-adenosylmethionine-6-N', N'-adenosyl(rRNA) dimethyltransferase 2, TFB2M, NS5ATP5, Hkp1.

    • Introduction

TSFM is a mitochondrial translation elongation factor which is linked with the EF-Tu.GDP complex and induces the exchange of GDP to GTP. TSFM stays bound to the aminoacyl-tRNA.EF-Tu.GTP complex until the GTP hydrolysis stage on the ribosome. Mutations in TSFM are related with combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency-3 syndrome.

    More Info

    • Introduction

ATF3 belongs to the mammalian activation transcription factor/cAMP responsive element-binding (CREB) protein family of transcription factors. ATF3 binds the cAMP response element (CRE) (consensus: 5'-GTGACGT[AC][AG]-3'), a sequence present in numerous viral and cellular promoters. Multiple transcript variants encoding two different isoforms are known for this gene. The longer isoform represses transcription from promoters with ATF binding elements instead of activating it. The shorter isoform (deltaZip2) which stimulates transcription by sequestering inhibitory co-factors away from the promoter has no leucine zipper protein-dimerization motif and does not bind to DNA.

    • Introduction

Apoptosis-Inducing Factor, Mitochondrion-Associated, 1 (AIFM1) is a mitochondrial protein which translocates to the nucleus once apoptosis has been initiated. More Info

    • Introduction

GTF2B is one of the ubiquitous factors needed for transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II preinitiation factor. GTF2B localizes to the nucleus where it forms a complex (the DAB complex) with transcription factors IID and IIA. GTF2 plays a role as a bridge between IID, which initially recognizes the promoter sequence, and RNA polymerase II. GTF2B is involved in the selection of the transcription start site.

    • Synonyms

TF2B, TFIIB, GTF2B, Transcription initiation factor IIB, General transcription factor TFIIB, S300-II.

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

    • Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

    • Introduction

ATP5F1 is a mitochondrial ATP synthase subunit catalyzes ATP synthesis, using an electrochemical gradient of protons all through the inner membrane for the duration of the oxidative phosphorylation. ATP synthase is comprised of two linked multi-subunit complexes: the soluble catalytic core, F1, and the membrane-spanning component, Fo, including the proton channel. The catalytic segment of mitochondrial ATP synthase contains 9 subunits: 3 alpha, 3 beta, and one unit of gamma, delta, and epsilon. The proton route is known to have 9 subunits (a, b, c, d, e, f, g, F6 and 8).

    • Introduction

In the absence of additional proteins - the general transcription factors (GTFs) RNA polymerases are unable to initiate RNA synthesis. GTFs accumulate in a complex on the DNA promoter and recruit the RNA polymerase. GTF3C family proteins are vital for RNA polymerase III to produce several small nuclear and cytoplasmic RNAs, including 5S RNA, tRNA, and adenovirus-associated (VA) RNA of both cellular and viral origin.

Greater than 85.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

    More Info

    • Introduction

TAF10 is a small subunit of TFIID which is related to a subdivision of TFIID complexes. Studies with human and mammalian cells verified that this subunit is mandatory for transcriptional activation by the estrogen receptor, for progression through the cell cycle, and is essential for several cellular differentiation programs.

    • Synonyms

TAF10 RNA Polymerase II TATA Box Binding Protein (TBP)-Associated Factor 30kDa, Transcription Initiation Factor TFIID 30 KDa Subunit, STAF28, TAF2A, TAF2H.

    More Info

    • Introduction

BTF3L4 is a part of the NAC-beta family which contains 1 NAC-A/B (NAC-alpha/beta) domain and required for the initiation of transcription. BTF3L4 binds to polypeptide chains as they emerge from the ribosome and prevents their interaction with the SRP, which usually targets nascent secretory peptides to the ER. BTF3 is also a general transcription factor which forms a stable complex with RNA polymerase II.

    • Synonyms

      Basic transcription factor 3-like 4, BTF3L4.
