N-Acetylglucosamine Kinase (NAGK) is a part of the eukaryotic-type N-acetylglucosamine kinase family. NAGK transforms endogenous N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc), a main component of complex carbohydrates, from lysosomal degradation or nutritional sources into GlcNAc 6-phosphate.
