N-acetylneuraminate lyase (NPL) is an enzyme which catalyzes the chemical reaction (N-acetylneuraminate ->N-acetyl-D-mannosamine + pyruvate). NPL is a member of a family of lyases, specifically the oxo-acid-lyases, which cleave carbon-carbon bonds. NPL participates in amino sugars metabolism.

Plasma protease C1 inhibitor (SERPING1) is a part of the serpin superfamily of serine protease inhibitors. SERPING1 plays an important role in regulating activation of both the complement and contact systems. CLIC4 acts as a monomer which is able to form selective ion channels in target proteins, thus facilitating the transport of chloride and other ions. CLIC4 is believed to have a role in apoptosis and is able to translocate to the nucleus under stress conditions.

The Sec61 complex is the key component of the protein translocation apparatus of the ER (endoplasmic reticulum) membrane. PGK1 is an X-linked enzyme that has a major role in the glycolytic pathway. PGK1 is a glycolytic enzyme which catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate, generating an ATP molecule. PGK1 may also act as a cofactor for polymerase alpha. Synovial Sarcoma, X Breakpoint 1 (SSX1) is a member of a family of highly homologous synovial sarcoma X (SSX) breakpoint proteins. SSX proteins are localized to the nucleus and expressed in testis and some types of cancers and, hence, they are classified as C/T (cancer/testis) antigens. These proteins may serve as transcriptional repressors. SSX1 genes are involved in the t (X;18) translocation typically found in all synovial sarcomas. This translocation leads to the fusion of the synovial sarcoma translocation gene on chromosome 18 to one of the SSX genes on chromosome X. These hybrid proteins are most likely responsible for transforming activity.

Sclerostin Domain Containing 1 (SOSTDC1) belongs to the sclerostin family and an N-glycosylated, secreted protein with a C-terminal cystine knot-like domain. The SOSTDC1 protein acts as a bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) antagonist. Specifically, SOSTDC1 directly associates with BMPs, prohibiting them from binding their receptors, thus regulating BMP signaling throughout cellular proliferation, differentiation, and programmed cell death. SOSTDC1 may also be involved in the onset of endometrial receptivity for implantation/sensitization for the decidual cell reaction Enhances Wnt signaling and hinders TGF-beta signaling. Opticin also known as OPTC is a member of the class III of the small leucine-rich repeat protein (SLRP) family. Members of this family are usually linked with the extracellular matrix. OPTC is attended in significant quantities in the vitreous of the eye and also localizes to the cornea, iris, ciliary body, optic nerve, choroid, retina, and fetal liver. OPTC might noncovalently bind collagen fibrils and regulate fibril morphology, spacing and organization. OPTC is mapped to a an area of chromosome 1 which is linked with the inherited eye diseases age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and posterior column ataxia with retinosa pigmentosa (AXPC1).

GOPC is a PDZ domain-containing Golgi protein which binds the extreme C terminus of proteins in a sequence-specific manner. GOPC participates in intracellular protein trafficking and degradation. GOPC regulates CFTR chloride currents and acid-induced ACCN3 currents by modulating cell surface expression of both channels. GOPC regulates the intracellular trafficking of the ADR1B receptor. GOPC takes part in autophagy. GOPC over expression results in CFTR intracellular retention and degradation in the lysosomes.
