    Description

Recombinant Human Interleukin-23 produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a glycosylated heterodimer composed of 2 disulfide-linked subunits. A p19 subunit which is unique to IL23 and a p40 subunit which is shared with IL12. The p19 subunit/IL23A (20-189aa, total of 176 aa, MW 19.5kDa) and p40 subunit /IL12B (23-328aa, total of 306 aa, MW 34.6kDa), the total predicted molecular mass of 54.1kDa (Molecular weight on SDS-PAGE will appear higher). IL23 is fused to a 6 aa His-Tag at C-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

    Source

    Sf9, Baculovirus cells.

    Formulation

IL23 protein solution (1mg/ml) contains PBS (pH7.4) and 10% glycerol.

    Purity

Greater than 95.0% as determined by analysis by SDS-PAGE.

    • Introduction

IL23 is composed of a subunit of the heterodimeric cytokine IL23 and the p40 subunit of interleukin 12 (IL12B). Interleukin-23 (IL-23) belongs to the IL-12 family and is produced by antigen presenting cells. IL-23 using IL12RB1 and IL-23R (specific for IL-23) can activate STAT and NF-kB pathways and stimulate the production of interferon-gamma. ). IL-23 is known to take a vital part in the inflammation process and is associated with auto immune diseases. However, unlike IL12, which acts primarily on naive CD4(+) T cells, IL23 preferentially acts on memory CD4(+) T cells.

    • Synonyms

Interleukin 23 alpha subunit p19, Interleukin-12 subunit beta p40, SGRF, IL23P19, IL-23-A, interleukin-six, G-CSF related factor, JKA3 induced upon T-cell activation, interleukin 12B (natural killer cell stimulatory factor 2 cytotoxic lymphocyte maturation factor 2 p40), NK cell stimulatory factor chain 2, Cytotoxic lymphocyte maturation factor 40 kDa subunit, CLMF2, CLMF p40.

    • Introduction

PRDX2 is part of the peroxiredoxin family of antioxidant enzymes, which reduce hydrogen peroxide and alkyl hydroperoxides. PRDX2 takes part as an antioxidant protective role in cells, and contributes to the antiviral activity of CD8(+) T-cells. PRDX2 has proliferative effect in cancer development or progression.
If PRDX2 protection is insufficient against peroxidases, the DNA damage results in neurological disease such as Alzheimer's or DNA damage leading to cancer.

    • Introduction

Neurogranin (NRGN) is a calmodulin-binding protein which is expressed solely in the brain, mainly in dendritic spines. NRGN is also taking part in the protein kinase C signaling pathway by being a "third messenger" substrate of protein kinase C-mediated molecular cascades during synaptic development and remodeling. NRGN binds to calmodulin in the absence of calcium. NRGN protein’s phosphorylation by protein kinase C lowers its binding ability.

    • Introduction

Ostreolysin is extracted from Pleurotus ostreatus (oyster mushroom). It is a pore forming protein, which contains a lytic part to both cholesterol and sphingomyelin containing membranes. Because of their cholesterol content and the appearance of ostreolysin in the detergent resistant membranes, ostreolysin is cytotoxic towards the ovary cells of Chinese hamster. It seems that Ostreolysin spots a rich lipid cholesterol phase, presumably the liquid ordered phase.

    • Physical Appearance

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

    • Stability

Lyophilized Pleurotus Ostreatus Ostreolysin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon C between 2-7 days and for future use reconstituted Ostreolysin should be stored at 4°C below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Midkine (MK) is the product of a retinoic acid responsive gene, MK, and is a member of a family of heparin binding factors. It contains 121 amino acid residues including 10 conserved cysteine residues, all of which appear to be disulphide linked.
Midkine is expressed during embryogenesis, showing an expression pattern that suggests functions in neurogenesis, cell migration, secondary organogenetic induction, and mesoderm-epithelial interaction.
The widespread downregulation of MK in the adult human is reverted in a number of cancers, in which polypeptides are able to act as both transforming growth factors and promoters of angiogenesis.
Midkine (MK), induces chemotaxis of human neutrophils and was found to trigger mobilization of intracellular calcium of these cells.

    • Introduction

HCV is a small 50nm, enveloped, single-stranded, positive sense RNAvirus in the family Flaviviridae.
HCV has a high rate of replication with approximately one trillion particles produced each day in an infected individual. Due to lack of proofreading by the HCV RNA polymerase, the HCV has an exceptionally high mutation rate, a factor that may help it elude the host's immune response. Hepatitis C virus is classified into six genotypes(1-6) with several subtypes within each genotype. The preponderance and distribution of HCV genotypes varies globally. Genotype is clinically important in determining potential response to interferon-based therapy and the required duration of such therapy. Genotypes 1 and 4 are less responsive to interferon-based treatment than are the other genotypes (2, 3, 5 and 6).

    • Introduction

Ras-related protein Rab-22A (RAB22A) belongs to the RAB family of small GTPases. The GTP-bound form of the RAB22A interacts with early-endosomal antigen 1, and may be involved in the transferring of and interaction between endosomal compartments.

    • Synonyms

      Ras-related protein Rab-22A, Rab-22, RAB22A, RAB22, MGC16770.

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile Filtered clear solution.

    • Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

    • Introduction

HBsAg is the surface antigen of the Hepatitis-B-Virus (HBV). The capsid of a virus has different surface proteins from the rest of the virus. The antigen is a protein that binds specifically on one of these surface proteins. It is commonly referred to as the Australian Antigen.
Recombinant HbsAg ayw full length is a 24kDa protein cloned from HBV 320 genome.

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile Filtered clear solution.

    • Stability

HBsAg although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C. Please prevent freeze thaw cycles.
