Prorelaxin H2 (RLN2) is a member of a family which is produced by the ovary, targets the mammalian reproductive system to ripen the cervix, elongate the pubic symphysis and inhibit uterine contraction. It may also have other roles in boosting sperm motility, regulating blood pressure, controlling heart rate and releasing vasopressin. RLN2 is a peptide hormone linked to several therapeutically relevant physiological effects, including regulation of collagen metabolism and multiple vascular control pathways. The active form of the RLN2 protein consists of an A chain and a B chain linked by disulfide bonds.

Ribosomes are the organelles which catalyze protein synthesis, they’re comprised of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Ribosomal Protein L11 (RPL11) is a member of the L5P family of ribosomal proteins. RPL11 is a ribosomal protein which is a component of the 60S subunit. RPL11 is found in the cytoplasm. The RPL11 protein most likely associates with the 5S rRNA.

DDIT4 has a role in the regulation of reactive oxygen species. DDIT4 is upregulated at the transcriptional level as a reaction to stress due to DNA damage and glucocorticoid treatment. DDIT4 negatively regulates the mammalian target of Rapamycin, a serine/threonine kinase frequently referred to as mTOR. SIRT3 is a member of a family of proteins called Sirtuin. Proteins of the Sirtuin family are characterized by a Sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The roles of human Sirtuins are numerous and are important in aging prosseses, stress resistance and metabolic regulation. SIRT3 shows NAD+-dependent deacetylase activity in the mitochondria. Over-expression of SIRT3 causes increased levels of the mitochondrial uncoupling protein 1. Also, in certain breast cancers the levels of SIRT3 protein are found to be extremely high.

Chromgranin-A is part of the neuroendocrine secretory protein family. CHGA is located in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells. Chromgranin-A is a precursor to three biologically active peptides; vasostatin, pancreastatin, and parastatin. These peptides act as autocrine or paracrine negative modulators of the neuroendocrine system. Other peptides, including chromostatin, beta-granin, WE-14 and GE-25, are also derived from the full-length protein. Chromgranin-A has numerous biological activities on some tissues and organs and exerts a large spectrum of homeostatic actions, including antifungal and antimicrobial effect, modulation of cell adhesion, and inhibition of parathyroid hormone secretion.

Glypican 4, also known as GPC4, is part of a family of glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored heparan sulphate proteoglycans (HSPGs) which take part in the control of cell division and growth regulation. GPC4 is broadly expressed in human tissues, including lung, kidney, heart, placenta, skeletal muscle, and pancreas. S100Z is a recently discovered member of the S100 protein family. S100 proteins are small dimeric members of the EF-hand superfamily of Ca(2+) binding proteins thought to participate in mediating intracellular Ca(2+) signals by binding to and thereby regulating target proteins in a Ca(2+)-dependent manner. S100Z is a 99-amino acid protein capable of interacting with another member of the family, S100P. There are differences in the expression level of S100Z mRNA in various tissues. The highest levels were found in spleen and leukocytes. S100Z gene expression appears to be deregulated in some tumor tissues, compared to expression in their normal counterparts.

MAX Dimerization Protein 3 (MXD3) belongs to the Myc superfamily of basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper transcriptional regulators. BCL2-associated athanogene 2 (BAG2) belongs to the Bag family of proteins. BAG2 is a chief component of the HSC 70/CHIP chaperone-dependent ubiquitin ligase complex and acts to upset CHIP-mediated ubiquitylation. BAG proteins compete with Hip for attaching to the Hsc70/Hsp70 ATPase domain and promote substrate discharge. All the BAG proteins have a roughly 45 amino acid BAG domain by the C-terminus but vary clearly in their N-terminal regions. The BAG domains of BAG1, BAG2, and BAG3 act together expressly with the Hsc70 ATPase domain in vitro and in mammalian cells. All three proteins attach with high affinity to the ATPase domain of Hsc70 and obstruct its chaperone activity in a Hip-repressible manner.

FABP6 also called ileal fatty acid binding protein, is part of the small family of highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. FABP6 cytosolic protein binds bile acid. FABP6 plays a role in fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism. FABP6 stimulates gastric acid and pepsinogen secretion. Seems to be able to bind to bile salts and bilirubins. FABP6 expression is restricted in the small intestine to the ileum where it is involved in the enterohepatic circulation of bile acids. Geminin is a 25 kDa nuclear protein, which inhibits DNA replication and is degraded during the mitotic phase of the cell cycle. Geminin controls replication by binding to the licensing factor Cdt1, and is involved in neural differentiation. In addition, Geminin directly interacts with Six3 and Hox homeodomain proteins during embryogenesis and inhibits their functions. Geminin can also promote DNA replication.
