DnaJ (Hsp40) Homolog, Subfamily C, Member 27 (DNAJC27) which contains one J domain is a part of the small GTPase superfamily. DNAJC27 is a GTPase which activates the MEK/ERK pathway and induces cell transformation when overexpressed.

Neudesin Neurotrophic Factor (NENF) is a member of the cytochrome b5 family, MAPR subfamily. NENF contains 1 cytochrome b5 heme-binding domain. NENF exhibits neurotrophic activity and activates phosphorylation of MAPK1/ERK2, MAPK3/ERK1 and AKT1/AKT in primary cultured neurons. NENF doesn’t have mitogenic activity in primary cultured astrocytes. NENF may play a part in neuronal differentiation and may have a transient influence on neural cell proliferation in neural precursor cells. NENF neurotrophic activity is increased by binding to heme. NENF is up-regulated in immortal cells and induced in estrogen receptor positive breast cancer expressing progesterone receptor.

SLC3A2, also known as Solute Carrier Family 3 Member 2, is a single-pass type II membrane protein which is part of the SLC3A transporter family. SLC3A2 is expressed ubiquitously in all tissues tested with the highest levels detected in kidney, placenta and testis and lowest level in thymus. SLC3A2 is essential for the function of light chain amino-acid transporters and also takes part in sodium-independent, high-affinity transport of large neutral amino acids such as phenylalanine, tyrosine, leucine, arginine and tryptophan. SLC3A2 participates in guiding and targeting of LAT1 and LAT2 to the plasma membrane.

PAPP-A can also act as a regulator of IGF bioactivity in a number of biological systems, including the human ovary and cardiovascular systems. It was shown that PAPP A levels are elevated in patients with unstable angina or acute myocardial infarction. Furthermore, PAPPA is believed to be involved in local proliferative processes such as wound healing and bone remodeling. Moreover, PAPP-A is produced in high concentrations during pregnancy and is released into the maternal circulation. In placenta, PAPP A is expressed in X cells in septa and anchoring villi, and in syncytiotrophoblasts in the chorionic villi.

EYA2 belongs to tyrosine phosphatase family which specifically dephosphorylates 'Tyr-142' of histone H2AX (H2AXY142ph). EYA2 promotes effective DNA mending by dephosphorylating H2AX, promoting the enlistment of DNA repair complexes having MDC1. EYA2 role as histone phosphatase can explain its part in transcription regulation during organogenesis.

Like a transmembrane molecule, C10ORF54 is expressed in the bone on embryonic stem cells (ESCs), and on tumor cell surface as well. Accordingly, C10ORF54 supports the differentiation of ESC and ehhances BMP4 induced signaling in ESC, however C10ORF54 is also down regulated following to BMP4 exposure.

DPPIV is an intrinsic membrane glycoprotein and a serine exopeptidase that cleaves X-proline dipeptides from the N-terminus of polypeptides. DPP4 plays a role in t-cell activation. Four and a half LIM domains 3 (FHL3) belongs to a family of proteins containing a four-and-a-half LIM domain, which is a highly conserved double zinc finger motif. FHL3 has been shown to interact with the cancer developmental regulators SMAD2, SMAD3, and SMAD4, the skeletal muscle myogenesis protein MyoD, and the high-affinity IgE beta chain regulator MZF-1. GPI or Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase, is a protein, part of the multifunctional phosphoglucose isomerase family, which its members take part in energy pathways. The HAAO protein catalyzes the synthesis of quinolinic acid (QUIN) from 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid. QUIN is an excitotoxin whose toxicity is facilitated by its ability to activate glutamate N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors. Amplified cerebral levels of QUIN may contribute to the pathogenesis of neurologic and inflammatory disorders. HAAO is widely distributed in peripheral organs, such as liver and kidney, and is also present in low amounts in the central nervous system.
