Ribonuclease 7 (RNASE7) is one of the final RNase A superfamily ribonucleases. RNASE7 was isolated from skin-derived stratum corneum. RNASE7 protein demonstrated potent ribonuclease activity and hence may contribute to the well-known ribonuclease activity of human skin. RNASE7 has revealed a broad spectrum antimicrobial activity against many pathogenic microorganisms and extraordinarily potent activity.

Antioxidant enzyme Glutathione S- Transferase (GST) is thought to do the primary cellular defense mechanism against reactive oxygen species. GST reduces lipid hydroperoxides through its Se-independent glutathione peroxidase activity. The enzyme also detoxifies lipid peroxidation end products such as 4-hydroxynonenal (4-HNE).
The soluble GST is a 26 kDa protein which occurs as a dimer in all aerobic organisms. Each monomer has two domains, one that binds GSH and is an /-structure similar to thioredoxin and the other, all helical, that binds the hydrophobic substrate. The GST -fusion protein expression system is a widely used recombinant protein expression system that allows a peptide or a regulatory protein domain to be expressed as a fusion to the C-terminus of Schistosoma japonicum GST. Fusion proteins also possess GST -enzymatic activity and can undergo dimerization similar to in vivo. The fusion protein can be purified via GST -affinity column chromatography. In most cases, the desired peptides or domains are removed from GST by applying a specific protease that recognizes and cleaves the linker between the protein domain and GST. The technique has been widely used to generate different kinds of proteins for crystallization, molecular immunology studies, the production of vaccines and studies involving protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions.

Histamine N-Methyltransferase or HNMT, is located in the cell cytosol. Sadenosyl-L-methionine acts as a methyl donor for HNMT which inactivates histamine. By inactivation of histamine, it affects the immune system’s response. HNMT acts on histamine in body tissues such as kidney, central nervous system and bronchus. The protein has a crucial part in the airway response to histamine & histamine degradation process and regulation.

L-lactate dehydrogenase (lldD) is present in a various organisms, including plants and animals. lldD is an oxidoreductase which catalyses the interconversion of pyruvate and lactate with concurrent interconversion of NADH and NAD+. Seeing that lldD can catalyze the oxidation of hydroxybutyrate, it is occasionally called Hydroxybutyrate Dehydrogenase (HBD).

G3BP1 belongs to the heterogeneous nuclear RNA-binding proteins and is also an element of the Ras signal transduction pathway. G3BP1 is one of the DNA-unwinding enzymes that favors partially unwound 3'-tailed substrates and is also able to unwind partial RNA/DNA and RNA/RNA duplexes in an ATP-dependent fashion. G3BP1 binds specifically to the Ras-GTPase-activating protein by associating with its SH3 domain. In addition, G3BP1 cleaves exclusively between cytosine and adenine and cleaves MYC mRNA preferentially at the 3'-UTR.

TOP1 is an important nuclear enzyme that interconverts supercoiled DNA to the necessary topological conformations for standard DNA replication and transcription. TOP1 is the target antigen for TOP1 autoantibodies. TOP1 antibodies are a specific marker in scleroderma patients (specificity 98-100%) and are related with the existence of diffuse skin involvement and pulmonary fibrosis. In human tissues top1 enzyme is primarily synthesized as a protein with a molecular weight of 100-kDa. Most of this precursor is then proteolytically processed to a 70-kDa size, from which the TOP1 antigen has derived its name.

UBE2A is necessary for postreplication repair of UV-damaged DNA.

Fibroblast growth factor 18 (FGF18) is a member of the large FGF family which has at least 23 members. FGF18 is a binding growth factor with a core 120 amino acid FGF domain which allows for a common tertiary structure. FGFs are expressed in the course of the embryonic development and in restricted adult tissues. FGF-18 is an indispensable regulator of long bone and calvarial development. FGF-18 signals via FGFR 1c, 2c, 3c, and 4.

Poly (ADP-Ribose) Polymerase 2 (PARP2) contains a catalytic domain which is homologous to that of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase but lacks an N-terminal DNA binding domain which activates the C-terminal catalytic domain of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase. PARP2 is capable of catalyzing a poly (ADP-ribosyl)ation reaction. The basic residues within the N-terminal area of this protein can bear potential DNA-binding properties, and can be engaged in the nuclear and/or nucleolar targeting of the protein. Tyrosylprotein Sulfotransferase 1, also known as TPST1 is the enzyme which catalyzes the sulfation reaction of protein tyrosines, a post-translational modification of proteins. TPST1 belongs to the protein sulfotransferase family. In addition, TPST1 utilizes 3'-Phosphoadenosine-5'-phosphosulfate (PAPS) as the sulfonate donor and also binds proteins with target tyrosineresidues to eventually form the tyrosine O-sulfate ester group in addition to the desulfonated 3’-phosphoadenosine-5’-phosphate.

Leucine Aminopeptidase 3 also known as LAP3 is a member of the peptidase M17 family. LAP3 is implicated in the processing as well as regular turnover of intracellular proteins. LAP3 catalyzes the removal of unsubstituted N-terminal amino acids from different peptides. LAP3 is responsible of releasing an N-terminal amino acid, Xaa-|-Yaa-, in which Xaa is preferably Leu, but could be other amino acids including Pro although not Arg or Lys, and Yaa may be Pro. UBE2D1 is a member of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. Ubiquitination involves at least 3 classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s), ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s) and ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3s). UBE2D1 is strongly related to a stimulator of iron transport (SFT), and is up-regulated in hereditary hemochromatosis. In addition, UBE2D1 functions in the ubiquitination of the tumor-suppressor protein p53 and the hypoxia-inducible transcription factor HIF1alpha by interacting with the E1 ubiquitin-activating enzyme and the E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases.

Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 J2 (UBE2J2) is a member of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. UBE2J2 catalyzes the covalent attachment of ubiquitin to other proteins. Chromosome 2 is the second largest human chromosome; it consists of 237 million bases, encodes over 1,400 genes and makes up approximately 8% of the human genome. Several genetic diseases are linked to genes on chromosome 2.

Cell division protein kinase 5 (CDK5) belongs to the cyclin-dependent kinase family. CDK5 is essential for appropriate development of the brain and in order to be activated CDK5 must link to CDK5R1 or CDK5R2. CDK5 doesn't need phosphorylation on the T loop so that binding with the activator is enough to activate the kinase. CDK5 is engaged in the processes of neuronal maturation and migration, phosphorylating the central intracellular adaptor of the reeling signaling chain.

Biotinidase also known BTD, belongs to the nitrilase superfamily, which contains 12 families of nitrilases, amidases, carbamylases, and N-acyltrasferases. BTD catalyzes the hydrolysis of biocytin, the product of biotin-dependent carboxylase degradation, to biotin and lysine. BTD has a vital regulatory part in chromatin/DNA function. Mutations in BTD protein lead to Biotinidase deficiency.

RPL23A is a ribosomal protein which is a component of the 60S subunit. Ribosomes, the organelles which catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally different proteins. RPL23A is a member of the L23P family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm. Recombinant Human Ribosomal Protein L23A may be one of the target molecules involved in mediating growth inhibition. The corresponding protein binds to a specific site on the 26S rRNA in yeast.

Hyaluronidase-1 or HYAL1 is a protein, part of the endolytic glycoside hydrolase proteins group. Human hyaluronidases proteins, are 5 endo­β­N­acetyl­hexosaminidases (including HYAL1, HYAL2, HYAL3). Hyaluronidase-1 causes degradation to hyaluronic acid in the extracellular matrix of somatic tissues. HYAL1 needs an acidic environment and is the most common hyaluronidase in the plasma. Mutations in this protein can lead to mucopolysaccharidosis type IX and hyaluronidase deficiency.
