SAP18 is a component of the histone deacetylase complex which has a significant role in the regulation of eukaryotic gene expression. SAP18 directly interacts with SIN3 and enhances SIN3-mediated transcriptional repression once bound to the promoter. SAP18 plays an important part in gene-specific recruitment of the HDAC complex by a number of transcription factors including Gli, GAGA, and Bicoid. Histone acetylation is significant in the regulation of eukaryotic gene expression. Histone acetylation and deacetylation is catalyzed by multisubunit complexes. SAP18 is a component of the histone deacetylase complex, which includes SIN3, SAP30, HDAC1, HDAC2, RbAp46, RbAp48, and other polypeptides. SAP18 is a component of a splicing-dependent multiprotein EJC (exon junction complex) placed at splice junction on mRNAs.

Small VCP/p97-interacting protein (SVIP) is involved in various cellular processes, including membrane fusion and ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation. SVIP functions as an inhibitor of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-associated degradation (ERAD) pathway. GNMT is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of S-adenosyl-L-methionine with glycine to S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and sarcosine. GNMT is located in the cytoplasm and acts as a homotetramer. Defects in the GNMT gene causes of GNMT deficiency (hypermethioninemia). GNMT affects DNA methylation by regulating the ratio of S-adenosylmethionine to S-adenosylhomocystine and is involved in the detoxification pathway in liver cells. GNMT expression is diminished in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). GNMT catalyzes the methylation of glycine by using s- adenosylmethionine (adomet) to form n-methylglycine (sarcosine) with the concomitant production of s-adenosylhomocysteine (adohcy). GNMT plays an essential role in the regulation of tissue concentration of adomet and of metabolism of methionine.

Butyrophilin sub family 3 member A1, also known as BTN3A1 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. BTN3A1 is composed of an extracellular N-terminal IgV as well as a membrane proximal IgC domain followed by a transmembrane domain and also a cytoplasmic tail. BTN3A1 participates in T-cell activation and also in the adaptive immune response. Furthermore, BTN3A1 regulates the proliferation of activated T-cells & the release of cytokines and IFNG by activated T-cells. XG is the XG blood group antigen, and is at the pseudoautosomal boundary on the short (p) arm of chromosome X. The three 5' exons are located in the pseudoautosomal area and the remaining exons within the X-specific end. A shorted copy of XG is found on the Y chromosome at the pseudoautosomal boundary. XG is transcribed, although not expected to make a Y-chromosome specific gene product.

KCNIP3 belongs to a family of voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channel-interacting proteins, which belong to the recoverin branch of the EF-hand superfamily. KCNIP family members are small calcium binding proteins containing EF-hand-like domains. KCNIP3 also functions as a calcium-regulated transcriptional repressor, and interacts with presenilins. T cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains or TIGIT, is an immune receptor located on part of T cells and Natural Killer Cells(NK). TIGIT is also known as Vstm3 and WUCAM. The receptor can bind with high affinity to dendritic cells(DCs), CD155(PVR) on macrophages, etc., and it can bind with lower affinity to CD112(PVRL2). TIGIT can inhibit the cytotoxicity of Natural Killer Cells through its ITIM domain via antibodies against the interaction with PVR and the activity is directed. It has been show on research that TIGIT-Fc fusion molecule can have interaction with PVR on dendritic cells and elevate its IL-10 secretion level or lower the secretion on IL-12 under the stimulation of LPS, moreover, it can inhibit the activation of T cell in vivo.

S100A13 is a member of the S100 family of proteins containing 2 EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. S100 family members are localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a wide range of cells, and are involved in the regulation of a number of cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. S100A13 is extensively expressed in various types of tissues with an elevated expression level in the thyroid gland. In smooth muscle cells, S100A13 co-expresses with other family members in the nucleus and in stress fibers, suggesting diverse functions in signal transduction.

Microtubule-associated proteins 1A/1B light chain 3 beta 2 (MAP1LC3B2) is a member of the MAP1LC3 family. MAP1LC3B2 is a subunit of neuronal microtubule-associated MAP1A and MAP1B proteins, which are involved in microtubule assembly and essential for neurogenesis. The MAP1LC3B2 protein is possibly involved in formation of autophagosomal vacuoles (autophagosomes). MAP1LC3B2 is expressed primarily in the heart, testis, brain and skeletal muscle.

Methyl-CpG-binding domain protein 3 (MBD3), belongs to the MBD family of transcriptional repressors. Human proteins MECP2, MBD1, MBD2, MBD3, and MBD4 includes a family of nuclear proteins related by the presence of a methyl-CpG binding domain (MBD) in each protein. Nevertheless, not like the other family members, MBD3 is not capable of binding to methylated DNA. MBD3 is a subunit of the NuRD, a multisubunit complex having nucleosome remodeling and histone deacetylase activities. Mediator Complex Subunit 20 (MED20) is a subunit of the Mediator complex, which is a multiprotein coactivator of RNA transcription that interacts with DNA-bound transcriptional activators, RNA polymerase II, and general initiation factors. The Mediator functions as a link to transmit information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription apparatus. SNRPB is one of several nuclear proteins which are found in common among U1, U2, U4/U6, and U5 small ribonucleoprotein particles (snRNPs). These snRNPs are involved in pre-mRNA splicing, and the SNRPB protein may also have a role in pre-mRNA splicing or snRNP structure. SNRPB binds to the downstream cleavage product (DCP) of histone pre-mRNA in a U7 snRNP dependent manner. SNRPB functions in the U7 snRNP complex which is involved in histone 3'-end processing.

DnaJ, Heat shock protein, functions in association with DnaK(Hsp70) molecular chaperone to facilitate protein folding. p70 chaperone. DnaJ plays a key role in the chaperone reaction by stimulating the ATPase activity and activating the substrate binding of Hsp70. DnaJ consists of four domains that are N-terminal 76 amino acid J-domain, G/F domain, zinc-binding cystein rich CR-domain, C-terminal CTD-domain and they are conserved to various degrees among the homologues.
