RAP2A belongs to the RAS oncogene family and a Ras-like small G protein. The RAP2A protein shares 60% identity with Rap1A and exhibits a carboxy-terminal CAAX motif and 2 upstream cysteines similar to those of the H-Ras, K-Ras and N-Ras proteins. SUMO1 is a protein that belongs to the SUMO (small ubiquitin-like modifier) protein family. SUMO1 functions in a manner similar to ubiquitin in that it is bound to target proteins as part of a post-translational modification system. Thioredoxins are small disulphide-containing redox proteins (within the conserved Cys-Gly-Pro-Cys active site) that have been found in all the kingdoms of living organisms. S100A1 is a member of the S100 family of calcium binding proteins with EF-hand type Ca+2 binding motive.
