    • Introduction

SBDS is part of an extremely preserved protein family which exists from archaea to vertebrates and plants. SBDS protein functions in RNA metabolism and has a role in the biogenesis of the 60S ribosomal subunit and translational activation of ribosomes. Shwachman-Diamond syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive disorder produced by mutations in the SBDS gene.

    • Synonyms

SDS, SWDS, Shwachman-Bodian-Diamond syndrome, Ribosome Maturation protein SBDS.

    • Introduction

Mercaptopyruvate Sulfurtransferase (MPST) catalyzes the transfer of a sulfur ion from 3-mercaptopyruvate to cyanide or other thiol compounds. MPST might be involved in cysteine degradation and cyanide detoxification. The MPST enzyme is regulated by oxidative stress and thioredoxin. In oxidative stress conditions, the catalytic cysteine site is transformed to a sulfenate which inhibits the MPST enzyme activity. The reduced thioredoxin cleaves an intersubunit disulfide bond to activate the redox switch and reactivate the enzyme. A deficiency in MPST activity is implicated in a rare inheritable condition known as MCDU (mercaptolactate-cysteine disulfiduria).

    • Synonyms

      3-mercaptopyruvate sulfurtransferase, MST, MPST, TST2.

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile Filtered clear solution.

    • Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

    • Introduction

Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 5 (CXCL5) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family that is also known as epithelial-derived neutrophil-activating peptide 78 (ENA-78). It is produced following stimulation of cells with the inflammatory cytokines interleukin-1 or tumor necrosis factor-alpha. Expression of CXCL5 has also been observed in eosinophils, and can be inhibited with the type II interferon IFN-?. This chemokine stimulates the chemotaxis of neutrophils possesses angiogenic properties. It elicits these effects by interacting with the cell surface chemokine receptor CXCR2. The gene for CXCL5 is encoded on four exons and is located on human chromosome 4 amongst several other CXC chemokine genes. CXCL5 has been implicated in connective tissue remodelling.

Lyophilized ENA78 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CXCL5 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

    • Solubility

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized ENA-78 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

    • Introduction

FABP1 (Fatty acid binding protein1) encodes the fatty acid binding protein found in liver. FABP1 is composed of ten antiparallel beta strands that form a barrel with a bigger binding pocket than the other FABPs allowing it to accommodate two fatty acid. This protein binds free fatty acids and their coenzyme A derivatives, bilirubin, and some other small molecules in the cytoplasm; it may be involved in intracellular lipid transport and metabolism.

    • Synonyms

      Fatty acid-binding protein 1 liver, L-FABP, FABPL, FABP-1, FABP1, Z-protein.

    • Physical Appearance

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

    • Stability

Lyophilized FABP1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution FABP1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

    • Solubility

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized FABP1 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Recombinant Human Cytokeratin 20 His Tag (KRT20) belongs to the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins is comprised of acidic proteins that are organized in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. • Introduction

Cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1B (CDKN1B) is a member of the Cip/Kip family of cyclin dependent kinase (Cdk) inhibitor proteins. The CDKN1B protein binds to and prevents the activation of cyclin E-CDK2 or cyclin D-CDK4 complexes, and so controls the cell cycle progression at G1. CDKN1B is often referred to as a cell cycle inhibitor protein since its major function is to stop or slow down the cell division cycle. The degradation of the CDKN1B protein, which is triggered by its CDK dependent phosphorylation and ensuing ubiquitination by SCF complexes, is compulsory for the cellular transition from inactive to the proliferative state.

    • Introduction

TXNL1 is a cytoplasmic protein which takes part in endocytotic signaling pathways and acts as a redox sensor. TXNL1 is universally expressed in the body and its goal is to couple oxidative stress to endocytosis, thereby regulating the GDI. Moreover, overexpression of TXNL1 inhibits cell proliferation by predisposing the cell to G0/G1 arrest, signifying that TXNL1 also functions as a transcriptional repressor.

    • Introduction

Methylosome subunit pICln (CLNS1A), is a member of the pICln (TC 1.A.47) family. CLNS1A takes part in multiple regulatory pathways. CLNS1A interaction with Sm proteins, inhibits their compilation on U RNA and interferes with snRNP biogenesis. CLNS1A inhibits the binding of survival motor neuron protein (SMN) to Sm proteins. Methylosome subunit pICln is related with the plasma membrane where it functions as a chloride present regulator.

    • Introduction

Glutathione S-transferase or GST, stands for a large family of detoxification proteins and enzymes. Glutathione S-transferase catalyzes glutathione reaction and an acceptor molecule to create S-substituted glutathione (S stands for sulfur). By this reaction, a large variety of compounds, for example therapeutic drugs, carcinogens & oxidative stress products, transformed. Glutathione S-transferase acts as a transport protein by binding toxins and acts as a transport protein. At first, the protein was isolated from Schistosomajaponicum, nowadays it is isolated from E. coli bacteria.
