IL-18 is a proinflammatory cytokine. This cytokine can induce the IFN-gamma production of T cells. CCL25 (Teck) is a novel CC chemokine, which is distantly related (about 20% amino acid sequence identity) to other CC chemokines. Human and mouse CCL25 expression was shown to be greatly restricted to the thymus and small intestine.
