Sulfotransferase 1C4 (SULT1C4) is a member of the SULT subfamily. SULT1C4 is responsible for transferring a sulfo moiety from PAPS to phenol-containing compounds. Sulfotransferase enzymes catalyze the sulfate conjugation of many hormones, neurotransmitters, drugs, and xenobiotic compounds. Trypsin (EC3.4.21.4) is part of the serine protease family. Trypsin cleaves lysine and arginine at the C-terminal side of the peptide. The hydrolysis rate is slower if an acidic residue is on either sides of the cleavage site and no cleavage occurs if a proline residue is on the carboxyl side of the cleavage site. Trypsin optimum pH is pH-7 to 9. Trypsin will also hydrolyze ester and amide linkages of synthetic derivatives of amino acids such as: benzoyl L-arginine ethyl ester (BAEE), p-toluenesulfonyl- L-arginine methyl ester (TAME), tosyl-L-arginine methyl ester, N-α-benzoyl-L-arginine p-nitroanilide (BAPNA), L-lysyl-p-nitroanilide, and benzoyl-L-tyrosine ethyl ester (BTEE). Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) represents one of the main autoantigenic targets in autoimmune thyroid disease of humans. Its identity with the formerly so-called `microsomal antigen` has been shown several years ago. As an integral membrane glycoprotein it is restricted to the apical plasma membrane of the follicular epithelial cells and comprises two identical subunits of approx. 100 kDa molecular weight. The hemoprotein TPO plays a key role in the thyroid hormone biosynthesis by catalysing both the iodination of tyrosyl residues and the coupling of iodotyrosyl residues in thyroglobulin (TG) to form precursors of the thyroid hormones T4 and T3.

There are 8 families of GST proteins, specifically alpha, kappa, mu, omega, pi, sigma, theta and zeta, each of which is comprised of proteins which have various functions throughout the cell. Glutathione S-transferase omega 2 (GSTO2) is a member of the GST superfamily. GSTO2 is involved in catalyzing the reaction of glutathione with a broad range of organic compounds to form thioethers, a process which is vital for the metabolism and detoxification of a variety of xenobiotics and carcinogens. GSTO2 displays glutathione-dependent thiol transferase activity. GSTO2 has a high dehydroascorbate reductase activity and may be a factor in the recycling of ascorbic acid. GSTO2 also participates in the biotransformation of inorganic arsenic and reduces monomethylarsonic acid (MMA). Polymerase II Polypeptide F (POLR2F) is the 6th largest subunit of RNA polymerase II, the polymerase responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes, which is also shared by the other two DNA-directed RNA polymerases. In yeast, POLR2F, in combination with at least 2 other subunits, forms a structure which stabilizes the transcribing polymerase on the DNA template. DNA-dependent RNA polymerases catalyze the transcription of DNA into RNA via the 4 ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. Pol II is the principal element of the basal RNA polymerase II transcription apparatus. Pols are comprised of mobile elements which move close to each other.
