Ribosomal Protein L18A (RPL18A) is a ribosomal protein which is a component of the 60S subunit, belongs to the L18AE family of ribosomal proteins. RPL18A is located in the cytoplasm. RPL18A is co-transcribed with the U68 snoRNA, which is located in its 3rd intron. The RPL18A protein may play a role in viral replication by interacting with the hepatitis C virus internal ribosome entry site (IRES).

Hsp70-binding protein 1 (HSPBP1) is a member of a family of eukaryotic proteins identified as nucleotide exchange factors for HSP 70 that exhibit varying degrees of compartment and species specificity. HSPBP1 is localized mainly in cytoplasm and nucleus but is also found extracellularly. HSPBP1 is mostly expressed in heart and skeletal muscle .HSPBP1 binds to HSP 70, inhibits its activity and promotes dissociation of nucleotides from the HSP 70 ATPase domain. In addition, HSPBP1 inhibits HSPA1A chaperone activity by changing the conformation of the ATP-binding domain of HSPA1A and obstructing the ATP binding. HSPBP1 may also have a role in tumor (dys)regulation of chaperone proteins. Furthermore, HSPBP1 hinders ubiquitination mediated by STUB1 and inhibits chaperone-assisted degradation of immature CFTR.

Protein-c Receptor (PROCR) is a receptor for activated protein C, a serine protease activated by and involved in the blood coagulation pathway. The PROCR protein is an N-glycosylated type I membrane protein which enhances the activation of protein C. PROCR gene mutations are linked with venous thromboembolism and myocardial infarction, as well as with late fetal loss during pregnancy. In addition, PROCR may have a role in malarial infection and has been linked with cancer.

Serpin Peptidase Inhibitor, Clade C Member 1 (SERPINC1), which is a part of the serpin superfamily, is a plasma protease inhibitor. SERPINC1 inhibits thrombin and other activated serine proteases of the coagulation system, and regulates the blood coagulation cascade. SERPINC1 also inhibits Thrombin and Factors IXa, Xa and XIa. Deficiencies in SERPINC1 can cause ATIII deficiency, an autosomal dominant disease which might lead to a hereditary thrombophilia.

Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 7 isoform 1, also known as SIGLEC7, is a newly discovered family of sialic acid-binding lectins of the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily. The extracellular portion has two Ig-like domains, with the amino-terminal V-set Ig domain containing amino acid residues which known to be implicated in sialic acid recognition by other Siglecs. The combination of an extracellular sialic acid binding site and an intracellular ITIM motif proposes that SIGLEC7 is involved in trans-membrane regulatory signaling reactions. Fractalkine soluble form is chemotactic for t-cells and monocytes, but not for neutrophils. Fractalkine membrane-bound form promotes adhesion of those leukocytes to endothelial cells. Fractalkine regulates leukocyte adhesion and migration processes at the endothelium and binds to CX3CR1. Natural Human Fractalkine is produced as a long protein (373-amino acid) with an extended mucin-like stalk and a chemokine domain on top. The mucin-like stalk permits it to bind to the cell surface.
