    Biological Activity

The Biological Activity is measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of HSB2 human peripheral blood acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells. ICAM-1/CD54 coated plates 5ug/ml when cells are added to. This effect is more to 60%.

    More Info

    • Introduction

Intercellular adhesion molecule 1 or ICAM1 is a protein, part of the ICAM family of proteins. ICAM1 acts as ligand for integrin alpha-L/beta-2 which is a leukocyte adhesion peptide. Amid migration of leukocytes ICAM1 promotes endothelial apical assembly cups via activation of ARHGEF26/SGEF & RHOG.

    • Synonyms

      Intercellular adhesion molecule 1, ICAM-1, Major group rhinovirus receptor, CD54 antigen, ICAM1, BB2, CD54, P3.58

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

    • Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

    Description

GNAZ Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 375 amino acids (1-355) and having a molecular mass of 43.0 kDa.GNAZ is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

    Source

    E.coli.

    Formulation

The GNAZ solution (1mg/1ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M Urea and 10% glycerol.

    Purity

Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

    More Info

    • Introduction

Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(z) subunit alpha (GNAZ) belongs to the G protein subfamily which mediates signal transduction in pertussis toxin-insensitive systems. GNAZ has a role in maintaining the ionic balance of perilymphatic and endolymphatic cochlear fluids. G proteins are involved as modulators or transducers in a variety of transmembrane signaling systems.

    • Introduction

Gamma-SNAP (NAPG) is a cytoplasmic protein which binds to a membrane receptor complex composed of VAMP, SNAP25 and syntaxin. NAPG mediates the membrane binding of NSF, which is crucial for membrane fusion reactions. NSF and SNAPs seem to be general components of the intracellular membrane fusion system, and their action at specific sites of fusion needs be controlled by SNAP receptors specific to the membranes being fused. NAPG mediates platelet exocytosis and controls the membrane fusion events of this process.

    • Introduction

RNA binding motif protein 17 (RBM17) is a splice factor which binds to the single stranded 3'AG at the exon/intron border and promotes its utilization in the 2nd catalytic step. The RBM17 protein is involved in the regulation of alternative splicing and the utilization of cryptic splice sites. RBM17 protein also stimulates the utilization of a cryptic splice site created by the beta-110 mutation in the HBB gene. The ensuing frameshift leads to sickle cell anemia.

    • Introduction

VPS28 is a subunit of the ESCRT-I complex (endosomal complexes required for transport) involved in the sorting of ubiquitinated proteins. VPS28 is involved in endosomal sorting of cell surface receptors using a multivesicular body/late endosome pathway. VSP28 binding with the TSG101 may have significant roles in budding of Retroviruses, such as HIV-1 and Ebola virus.
VSP28 interacts with TSG101, VPS37B, VPS37C, FAM125A and FAM125B, and also with VPS36, this interaction mediates the association with the ESCRT-II complex. Furthermore it interacts with SNF8 and VPS25 and CEP55.

    • Introduction

Once Chinese hamster K12 cells are starved from glucose, the synthesis of GRP (glucose-regulated protein) expressed. HSPA5 also called BiP, is part of the HSP70 family and plays a role in the folding and assembly of proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum. HSPA5 plays a key role in monitoring protein transport through the cell.
HSPA5 is a stress response protein which is induced by agents or conditions that adversely affect endoplasmic reticulum function. HSPA5 is crucial for the proper glycosylation, folding as well as for the maintenance of cell homeostasis and the prevention of apoptosis. HSPA5 is differentially expressed in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex from patients with schizophrenia. HSPA5 guides posttranslational hepatitis B virus large envelope protein import into the mammalian ER. HSPA5 actively regulates multiple malignant phenotypes, including cell growth, migration, and invasion.

    • Introduction

Leucine zipper down-regulated in cancer 1-like (LDOC1L) is a member of the LDOC1 family. LDOC1L is a nuclear protein containing a leucine zipper-like motif and a proline-rich region that shares noticeable similarity with an SH3-binding domain. LDOC1L localizes to the nucleus and is downregulated in certain cancer cell lines. LDOC1L is believed to regulate the transcriptional response mediated by the nuclear factor kB (NFkB).

      Protein LDOC1L, Leucine zipper protein down-regulated in cancer cells-like, Mammalian retrotransposon-derived protein 6, LDOC1L, MAR6, MART6, dJ1033E15.2.

    • Introduction

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A1 (HNRNPA1) is a member of the A/B subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). HNRNPA1 is involved in the packing of pre-mRNA into hnRNP particles, transport of poly(A) mRNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm and may control splice site selection. The HNRNPA1 protein may also have a role in HCV RNA replication. In addition, HNRNPA1 is believed to have a key role in the formation of specific myometrial protein species in parturition.
The hnRNP proteins have distinctive nucleic acid binding properties. HNRNPA1 has 2 repeats of quasi-RRM domains that bind to RNAs. HNRNPA1 is one of the most copious core proteins of hnRNP complexes and it is restricted to the nucleoplasm. The HNRNPA1 protein, along with other hnRNP proteins, is exported from the nucleus, most likely bound to mRNA, and is immediately re-imported. The M9 domain of HNRNPA1 functions as both a nuclear localization and nuclear export signal.

    • Introduction

TRIAP1 has a p53-binding site in its second exon. TRIAP1 expression is reduced by small interfering RNA enhanced apoptosis, while overexpression of TRIAP1 protects cells from apoptosis triggered by DNA damage. TRIAP1 is highly induced when cells have low levels of genotoxic stresses, but not when DNA damage is severe. TRIAP1 is able to control apoptotic pathways by interacting with Hsp70 which inhibits activity of apoptosis protease activating factor-1.
