      Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 J2 (UBE2J2) is a member of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. UBE2J2 catalyzes the covalent attachment of ubiquitin to other proteins. UBE2J2 is located in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum. UBE2J2 participates in the selective degradation of misfolded membrane proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum (ERAD).

They have sequence similarity to other ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes however require the conserved cysteine residue that is vital for the catalytic activity of E2s. UBE2V2 shares homology with ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 variant 1 and yeast MMS2 gene product. UBE2V2 participates in the differentiation of monocytes and enterocytes.

    • Introduction

      Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member D1 (AKR1D1) belongs to the AKR superfamily. The AKR family proteins are soluble NADPH oxidoreductases, which have vital roles in the metabolism of drugs, carcinogens and reactive aldehydes. AKR1D1 is also responsible for the catalysis of the 5-beta-reduction of bile acid intermediates and steroid hormones that carry a delta (4)-3-1 structure. AKR1D1 is highly expressed in the liver, colon and testis. Deficiency of the AKR1D1 enzyme may contribute to hepatic dysfunction.

      NEDD8-activating enzyme E1 catalytic subunit (UBA3) is the catalytic subunit of the dimeric UBA3-NAE1 E1 enzyme, which belongs to the E1 ubiquitin-activating enzyme family.       Placental Lactogen is a polypeptide hormone that is produced by the Syncytiotrophoblasts of the Placenta, also known as chorionic somatomammotropin. It has both Growth Hormone and Prolactin activities on growth, lactation, and luteal steroid production. In women, placental lactogen secretion begins soon after implantation and increases to 1 g or more a day in late pregnancy. Placental lactogen is also an insulin antagonist.
      Placental Lactogen Goat is also capable of activating human and other heterologous GH receptors but not ruminat GH receptors.
