HRSP12 (UK114) is an endoribonuclease found mainly in the human adult kidney and liver, and which is responsible for inhibiting translation by cleaving mRNA. HRSP12 cleaves phosphodiester bonds only in single-stranded RNA. HRSP12 may be an important biomarker for heptatic carcinoma.

Thymidylate kinase (DTYMK) is involved in pyrimidine metabolism. Specifically, DTYMK catalyzes the ATP-dependent conversion of dTMP (deoxythymidine monophosphate) to dTDP (deoxythymidine diphosphate), which then acts as one of the 4 nucleotides in DNA. Through its role in the catalytic creation of dTDP, DTYMK has an imperative role in the pathway of DNA synthesis and is assumed to be involved in cell cycle progression and cell growth.

Interleukin-8 (IL-8) is a chemokine produced by macrophages and other cell types such as epithelial cells. It is also synthesized by endothelial cells, which store IL-8 in their storage vesicles, the Weibel-Palade bodies. When first encountering an antigen, the primary cells to encounter it are the macrophages who phagocytose the particle. Fatty acid binding protein 9 (FABP9) belongs to the fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs) which are a family of small, extremely conserved, cytoplasmic proteins to bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. FABP9 is found in midpachytene spermatocytes and round spermatids, and comprises part of the perinuclear theca. Human CCL16, also called HCC-4, liver-expressed chemokine (LEC), and lymphocyte and monocyte chemoattractant (LMC), is a novel CC chemokine recognized by bioinformatics.
