Myosin Binding Protein C, Cardiac (MYBPC3) is the cardiac isoform of myosin-binding protein C expressed exclusively in heart muscle. Myosin-binding protein C is a myosin-associated protein found in the cross-bridge-bearing zone (C region) of A bands in striated muscle. Regulatory phosphorylation of the cardiac isoform in vivo by cAMP-dependent protein kinase upon adrenergic stimulation may be associated with modulation of cardiac contraction. MYBPC3 gene mutations are one of the causes of familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. In vitro MYBPC3 binds MHC, F-actin and native thin filaments, and modifies the activity of actin-activated myosin ATPase. MYBPC3 may modulate muscle contraction or it may have a more structural role.

Hematological and neurological expressed 1 protein (HN1) is a small protein which is extremely preserved among species. HN1 expression is upregulated in regenerating neural tissues, including the axotomized adult rodent facial motor nerve and dedifferentiating retinal pigment epithelial cells of the Japanese newt. HN1 is also expressed in several tissues during embryonic development as well as in regions of the adult brain which display high plasticity.

Nectin-1, also referred to as ED4, is a poliovirus receptor- related 1 protein is a part of the Nectin family. Nectin-1 endorses cell-cell contacts by forming homophilic or heterophilic trans-dimers. Heterophilic interactions among PVRL1/nectin-1 & PVRL4/nectin-4 and among PVRL1/nectin-1 & PVRL3/nectin-3 have been found. Nectin-1 acts as an entry receptor for herpes simplex virus & pseudorabies virus as well. Likewise, Neurite outgrowth-promoting activity has been shown by Nectin-1.

ICAM-1 also called CD54 is a single chain membrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of a variety of non-haematopoietic and haematopoietic cell types and has roles in signal transduction, cell signaling and lymphocyte adhesion. ICAM1 binds to integrins such as CD11a / CD18, or CD11b / CD18. ICAM1 is also used by Rhinovirus as a receptor. ICAM-1 is an intercellular adhesion molecule constantly present in low concentrations in the membranes of leukocytes and endothelial cells. When stimulated by cytokine the concentrations significantly increase. ICAM-1 can be stimulated by interleukin-1 (IL-1) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFA) and is expressed by the vascular endothelium, macrophages and lymphocytes. ICAM-1 is a ligand for LFA-1 which is a receptor found on leukocytes. Upon activation, leukocytes bind to endothelial cells via ICAM-1/LFA-1 and then transmigrate into tissues.
ICAM-1 is implicated in subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Levels of ICAM-1 are shown to be notably elevated in patients with SAH.
Soluble ICAM-1 is detectable in the plasma and is elevated in patients with various inflammatory conditions.

Cerebral Cavernous Malformation 2, also known as CCM2 is a piece of the CCM signaling pathway which is a vital regulator of heart and vessel formation as well as integrity. CCM2 performs through the stabilization of endothelial cell junctions. In addition, CCM2 functions as a scaffold protein for MAP2K3-MAP3K3 signaling. CCM2 plays a key role in the modulation of MAP3K3-dependent p38 activation induced by hyperosmotic shock. Mutations in CCM2 result in cerebral cavernous malformations. Multiple transcript variants encoding dissimilar isoforms have been discovered for CCM2.

Gem-Associated Protein 6 (GEMIN6) is a member of a large macromolecular complex, localized to both the cytoplasm and the nucleus, which takes part in the cytoplasmic assembly of small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs). SMN, GEMIN2, GEMIN3, GEMIN4, and GEMIN5 are additional members of this complex.

UL16 Binding Protein 3 (ULBP3) is a ligand for the NKG2D receptor in NK cells. ULBPs activate different signaling pathways resulting in the production of cytokines and chemokines. ULBP3 is a ligand for the KLRK1/NKG2D receptor, along with at least ULBP1 and ULBP2. Binding of ULBPs ligands to KLRK1/NKG2D stimulates calcium mobilization and activation of the JAK2, STAT5, ERK and PI3K kinase/Akt signal transduction pathway. ULBP3 has lower affinity for KLRK1/NKG2D compared to ULBP1 and ULBP2 and stimulates weaker signaling responses than does ULBP2 or ULBP1.

Histone H2A.Z (H2AFZ) belongs to the histone H2A family. Histones are basic nuclear proteins which are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). H2AFZ is implicated in the formation of constitutive heterochromatin and vital for chromosome segregation during cell division. Moreover, variant Histone H2A, which takes the place of conventional H2A in a subset of nucleosomes. Studies in mice have demonstrated that this particular histone is essential for embryonic development and show that lack of functional histone H2A leads to embryonic lethality.

RCN1 is a calcium-binding protein which binds calcium and controls calcium-dependent activities in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen or post-ER compartment. RCN1 withholds six conserved regions with similarity to a high affinity Ca(+2)-binding motif, the EF-hand.
High conservation of amino acid residues outside of these motifs, in relation to mouse reticulocalbin, is consistent with a biochemical function further to that of calcium binding. In human endothelial and prostate cancer cell lines RCN1 protein is localized to the plasma membrane.

RQCD1 is a novel transcriptional cofactor which mediates retinoic acid-induced cell differentiation. RQCD1 down-regulates MYB- and JUN-dependent transcription and may have a role in cell differentiation. RQCD1 also has a role in retinoic acid-controlled lung development.

AKT Serine/Threonine Kinase 3 (Akt3) is a member of the Akt subfamily of serine/threonine protein kinases. Akt3is 1/3 closely related serine/threonine-protein kinases (Akt1, Akt2 and Akt3) called the Akt kinase and which regulate various processes including proliferation, metabolism, cell survival, growth and angiogenesis. The mentioned above is mediated through serine and/or threonine phosphorylation of a range of downstream substrates. Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (NCAM1) is apart of the immunoglobulin superfamily. NCAM1 bindsspecifically to neurite fasciculation, neuronneuron adhesion, outgrowth of neurites, and more. The polysialyation of NCAM1 reduces its adhesive property and increases its neurite outgrowth promoting features.NCAM1is mainly expressed in NK cells and a subset of T lymphocytes that mediate MHC-unrestricted cellmediated cytotoxicity. High expression of NCAM-1 differentiates NK cells as having an activated phenotype. During hematopoiesis, NCAM1plays a role as the prototypic marker of NK cells and also present on subset of CD4+, CD8+ and T cells. In cell adhesion, NCAM1 contributes to cell-cell adhesion during embryonic development.

BCL2-associated athanogene 2 (BAG2) belongs to the Bag family of proteins. BAG2 is a chief component of the HSC 70/CHIP chaperone-dependent ubiquitin ligase complex and acts to upset CHIP-mediated ubiquitylation. BAG proteins compete with Hip for attaching to the Hsc70/Hsp70 ATPase domain and promote substrate discharge. All the BAG proteins have a roughly 45 amino acid BAG domain by the C-terminus but vary clearly in their N-terminal regions. The BAG domains of BAG1, BAG2, and BAG3 act together expressly with the Hsc70 ATPase domain in vitro and in mammalian cells. All three proteins attach with high affinity to the ATPase domain of Hsc70 and obstruct its chaperone activity in a Hip-repressible manner.

STEAP Family Member 4 (STEAP4) is a member of the STEAP (six transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate) family, resides in the golgi apparatus. STEAP4 act as a metalloreductase which has the ability to reduce both Fe(3+) to Fe(2+) and Cu(2+) to Cu(1+),using NAD(+) as acceptor. According to studies in mice and human it is possible that STEAP4 may involve in adipocyte development and metabolism, and also contribute to the normal biology of the prostate cell.

Mitotic checkpoint protein BUB3,( BUB3), is a saved component of the mitotic spindle assembly complex (MCC). The encoded protein has 4 WD repeat domains and has a similar sequence as the yeast BUB3 protein. BUB3 is vital for the kinetochore localization of BUB1 and BUBR1. BUB3 participates in the central spindle checkpoint pathway that operates during early embryogenesis. Furthermore BUB3 has a part in regulating the establishment of correct kinetochore-microtubule attachments.

FBL is a significant small nucleolar protein in eukaryotes, which has an essential role in pre-rRNA processing during ribosomal biogenesis. Fibrillarin is a component of several ribonucleoproteins including a nucleolar small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (SnRNP) and one of the two classes of small nucleolar ribonucleoproteins (snoRNPs). Fibrillarin contains an N-terminal repetitive domain which is rich in glycine and arginine residues, like fibrillarins in other species. Fibrillarin’s central region is similar to an RNA-binding domain and contains an RNP consensus sequence. FBL is linked to the U3, U8, and U13 small nuclear RNAs and is positioned in the dense fibrillar component (DFC) of the nucleolus. Antisera from roughly 8% of humans with the autoimmune disease scleroderma recognize fibrillarin.

The KCNMB3 belongs to a family of 4 auxiliary beta subunits found in the mammalian genome, which associate with Slo1 alpha subunits and regulate BK channel function. In humans, the KCNMB3 gene is comprised of 4 N-terminal alternative exons which produce 4 functionally distinct beta3 subunits, beta3a-d. Three variants, beta3a-c, display kinetically distinct inactivation behaviors.

Recombinant Human Cytokeratin 20 His Tag (KRT20) belongs to the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. The type I cytokeratins is comprised of acidic proteins that are organized in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. KRT20 is a main cellular protein of mature enterocytes and goblet cells and is specifically expressed in the gastric and intestinal mucosa.

COX Assembly Mitochondrial Protein 1(CMC1) is a member of the CMC family. CMC1 is required for mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase (COX) assembly and respiration. CMC1 attaches copper and might be involved in copper trafficking and distribution to COX and SOD1.

MAP1LC3B is a member of the MAP1 LC3 family. MAP1LC3B is a subunit of neuronal microtubule-associated MAP1A and MAP1B proteins, that are involved in microtubule assembly and important for neurogenesis. XRCC3functionally complements Chinese hamster irs1SF, a repair-deficient mutant that shows hypersensitivity to a number of different DNA-damaging agents & chromosomally unstable.
