EXO2 is a 3'-to-5' exonuclease specific for small (primarily 5 nucleotides or less in length) single-stranded RNA and DNA oligomers. RNA Exonuclease 2 (REXO2) takes part in DNA repair, replication, and recombination, and in RNA processing and degradation. EXO2 is involved in resistance of human cells to UV-C-induced cell death via its part in the DNA repair process.

AGR2 (Anterior gradient 2 homolog) is the human orthologue of the secreted Xenopus laevis Anterior Gradient protein (XAG-2). This is a small, possibly secreted molecule of yet weakly defined functions that is widely expressed in human tissues. SULT2A1 is a member fo the sulfotransferase family. SULT2A1 is primarily expressed in liver and adrenal tissues, and to a lesser extent in kidney. SULT2A1 catalyzes the 3'-phosphoadenosine 5'-phosphosulfate-dependent sulfation of an extensive selection of steroids in human liver and adrenal tissues, and in addition is responsible for a larg number of the sulfation of bile acids in human liver.

The synthesis of non-AUG initiated protein is suppressed in Burkitt's lymphomas, suggesting its importance in the normal function of this gene.

TPT1 takes part in calcium binding and microtubule stabilization. TPT1 is an immunoglobulin E dependent histamine-releasing factor produced by lymphocytes of atopic children and present in biologic fluids of allergic patients. TPT1 protein is similar to p23, a protein of Ehrlich ascites tumor cells, synthesized in the exponentially growing tumor. TPT1 is similar with IgE-dependent histamine releasing factor. Acetoacetyl-CoA thiolase (ACAT1) is an enzyme member of the membrane-bound acyltransferase family and Sterol o-acyltransferase subfamily. The ACAT1 enzyme catalyzes the reversible formation of acetoacetyl-CoA from 2 molecules of acetyl-CoA. ACAT1 plays a part in lipoprotein compilation and dietary cholesterol absorption. Added to its acyltransferase activity, ACAT1 acts as a ligase.

MHC Class I is a membrane spanning molecule consisting of 2 proteins. SARS Coronavirus is an enveloped virus containing three outer structural proteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), and spike (S) proteins. CD5 is a suitable immunohistochemical marker for T-cells, though not as sensitive as CD3. Approximately 76% of T-cell neoplasms are reported to express CD5, and it is also observed in chronic lymphocytic leukemia, hairy cell leukemia, and mantle cell lymphoma cells. CD5 is commonly lost in cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, and its deficiency can be used as an indicator of malignancy in this condition. CD5’s absence in T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, though relatively rare, is linked with a poor prognosis. CD5 serves as a receptor in regulating T-cell proliferation.

IL-12 is a heterodimeric cytokine that stimulates the production of IFNgamma from T-cells and natural killer cells, and also induces differentiation of Th1 helper cells. IL-12 is an initiator of cell-mediated immunity.
