Fibronectin Leucine Rich Transmembrane Protein 3, also known as FLRT3 is a member of the fibronectin leucine rich transmembrane protein (FLRT) family. FLRT3 contains one fibronectin type-III domain as well as 10 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats and is expressed in the kidney, brain, pancreas, skeletal muscle, lung, liver, placenta, and heart. In addition, the members of the FLRT family play a role in cell adhesion as well as receptor signaling. FLRT3 has been implicated in neurite outgrowth after nerve damage, as a positive regulator of FGF signalling and in homotypic cell adhesion. Furthermore, FLRT3 has an essential function in regulating cellular adhesion among the epithelial apical ridge and the underlying mesenchyme and also in the establishment of the dorso-ventral position of the ridge.

Prosaposin (PSAP) is a precursor of 4 lysosomal saposin proteins (saposin A, B, C and D). Saposins are heat-stable glycoproteins which facilitate the catabolism of glycosphingolipids with short oligosaccharide groups. PSAP stimulates neurite outgrowth and increases choline acetyltransferase activity. Prosaposin exists both as a secretory protein and as an integral membrane protein and has neurotrophic activities. It has many beneficial properties, which make it a good candidate for a number of product applications. Considerable research is currently going on to explain the various suggested biological functions of lactoferrin.

Cyclophilin-D is a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) family. PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and speeds up the protein folding. Cyclophilin-D possess PPIase activity and binds to the immunosuppressant cyclosporin-A. Cyclophilin-D is very well known that its overexpression suppresses the apoptosis in cancer cell. In contrast, the targeted inhibition of Galectin-1 expression is what should be developed for therapeutic applications against cancer progression. Galectin-1 is thus a promising molecular target for the development of new and original therapeutic tools. There is 88% homology between the human and mouse galectin-1.

CAMP Responsive Element Binding Protein 3-Like 2, also known as CREB3L2 belongs to the oasis bZIP transcription factor family. Members of this family are able to dimerize however from homodimers only. CREB3L2 is a transcriptional activator. Translocations between CREB3L2 on chromosome 7 and the gene fused in sarcoma on chromosome 16 can be found in some tumors. One disease which is associated with CREB3L2 is myxofibrosarcoma.

Major Histocompatibility Complex Class II DO Beta (HLA-DOB) is a part of the HLA class II beta chain paralogues. This class II beta chain is a heterodimer which is located in intracellular vesicles and consists of an alpha (DOA) and a beta chain (DOB), both anchored in the membrane. HLA-DOB which interacts with the HLA-DM molecule in B-cells is a significant modulator in the HLA class II restricted antigen presentation pathway. Class II molecules are expressed in antigen presenting cells such as B lymphocytes, dendritic cells and macrophages.

Serpin Peptidase Inhibitor, Clade B Member 3, also known as SERPINB3 is a papain-like cysteine protease inhibitor which modulates the host immune response versus tumor cells.
