Matrix metalloproteinase-14 (MMP14), is a membrane-anchored zinc-binding endopeptidase which is expressed at the leading edge of different invasive carcinomas and also promotes tumor cell invasion through degradation of the extracellular matrix. MMP14 takes a vital part in extracellular matrix, ECM, remodeling by having the capability to degrade type I collagen, activate pro-MMP-2 and process cell adhesion molecules for instance CD44 and integrin alpha V. MMP14 is a key enzyme in many physiological as well as pathological processes for example angiogenesis & tumor invasion.

The FGFs are a family of more than 20 small (~17–26 kDa) secreted peptides. The initial characterization of these proteins focused on their ability to stimulate fibroblast proliferation. This mitogenic activity was mediated through FGF receptors (FGFRs) 1, 2, or 3. A fourth closely related tyrosine kinase receptor (FGFR4) was able to bind the FGFs but did not lead to a mitogenic response.
FGFs modulate cellular activity via at least 5 distinct subfamilies of high-affinity FGF receptors (FGFRs): FGFR-1, -2, -3, and -4, all with intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity and, except for FGFR-4, multiple splice isoforms, and FGFR-5, which lacks an intracellular kinase domain. There is growing evidence that FGFRs can be important for regulation of glucose and lipid homeostasis. Protein A binds to human IgG1, IgG2 and IgG4, mouse IgG2a, IgG2b and IgG3 and rat IgG2c. Protein A also binds to total IgG from rabbit, pig, dog, cat, and guinea pig.

PBX/Knotted 1 Homeobox 1 (PKNOX1) is a DNA-binding factor which takes part in the regulation of the transcriptional activity of AP-1 containing promoters. FABP6 also called ileal fatty acid binding protein, is part of the small family of highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. FABP6 cytosolic protein binds bile acid. FABP6 plays a role in fatty acid uptake, transport, and metabolism. FABP6 stimulates gastric acid and pepsinogen secretion. Seems to be able to bind to bile salts and bilirubins. FABP6 expression is restricted in the small intestine to the ileum where it is involved in the enterohepatic circulation of bile acids. Alternate transcription promoters generate 2 transcript variants, encoding a 128 aa and a 177 aa residue protein. Human FABP6 isoform 2 contains 128 amino acid residues and is acetylated on Ala2. FABP6 binds together fatty acids and bile acids and is directly involved in fatty acid transport and metabolism.

CST6 belongs to the type 2 cystatin family. Unlike other family members that act as active cysteine protease inhibitors, CST6 restrain the inhibition of cathepsin B but is not active against cathepsin C.
