    • Introduction

NusA is an important player in both prevention and enhancement of transcriptional termination. NusA is important both in Rho-dependent and intrinsic termination, as well as in lambda and other phage antitermination systems. The NusA gene was first identified by isolation of the nusAl mutation, which limits bacteriophage-l growth by preventing the antitermination activity of the l N protein. NusA plays a role in transcriptional antitermination in the cell. It has been shown to specifically aid in read-through of the RNA polymerase genes rpoB and rpoC, as well as in successful synthesis of the ribosomal RNA genes. Additionally to its anti-termination role, NusA is needed for both Rho-dependent and intrinsic transcriptional termination. NusA is obligatory for Rho-dependent termination in lambda phage and in the cell. NusA plays a role in intrinsic termination and the inhibition of RNA elongation. However NusA interacts with all three subunits of RNA polymerase, its termination activity primarily depends on its interaction with the carboxy-terminus of RpoA. NusA induces conformational change in RNA polymerase & prevents RNA interaction with RpoA. This binding sequentially activates NusA, allowing it to bind RNA and promote formation of hairpins at intrinsic termination sites. NusA binds Rho, and participates with sigma70 for binding to the core RNA polymerase complex. NusA does not compete with NusG for binding to either Rho or the polymerase, despite modulating the same process as NusG in both cases.

    • Introduction

Neuron-specificenolase also caled NSE is a glycolytic isoenzyme which is situated in central and peripheral neurons and neuroendocrine cells. Enolase-2 is released into the CSF when neural tissue is injured. Neoplasms derived from neural or neuroendocrine tissue release Enolase-2 into the blood. Enolase-2 is a useful substance that has been detected in patients with certain tumors, such as neuroblastoma, small cell lung cancer, medullary thyroid cancer, carcinoid tumors, pancreatic endocrine tumors, and melanoma. ENO2 is 1 of the 3 enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. ENO2 isoenzyme, is found in mature neurons and cells of neuronal origin. An exchange from alpha enolase to gamma enolase occurs in neural tissue during development in rats and primates.

    • Introduction

Human Pin 1 is a peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase (PPIase) that interacts with NIMA and essential for cell cycle regulation Pin1 is nuclear PPIase containing a WW protein interaction domain, and is structurally and functionally related to Ess1/Ptf1, an essential protein in budding yeast. PPIase activity is necessary for Ess1/Pin1 function in yeast. Pin1 is thus an essential PPIase that regulates mitosis presumably by interacting with NIMA and attenuating its mitosis-promoting activity. Substrates of Pin1 include the mitotic regulators (Cdc25 phosphatase and NIMA, PLK I, Wee, and Myt1 kinases), several transcription factors like b-Catenin, c-Jun, and the tumor suppressor protein p53, and some specific proteins like the RNA Pol II, the cytoskeleton protein tau, and the G1/S protein Cyclin D1.

CD6 is a cell surface glycoprotein expressed primarily on T cells. CD6 is expressed by mature T-cells, thymocytes, a subset of B-cells known as B-1 cells, and by cells in the brain (some of them). CD6 is a member of the group B SRCR (scavenger receptor cysteine-rich) superfamily. CD6 plays a role as both a co-stimulatory molecule in T cell activation and as an adhesion receptor. UbcH10 is an essential mediator of mitotic destruction events and cell cycle progression. It catalyzes the destruction of cyclins A and B in conjunction with the anaphase-promoting complex, and therefore, plays an important role in the control of the cell exit from mitosis This activity is essential at then end of mitosis for the inactivation of their partner kinase Cdc2 and exit from mitosis into G1 of the next cell cycle. In addition, UbcH10 bears homology to yeast PAS2, a gene that is essential for biogenesis of peroxisomes. UbcH10 is useful for in vitro ubiquitinylation reactions.

Chloride channels are various group of proteins that control fundamental cellular processes including stabilization of cell membrane potential, transepithelial transport, regulation of intracellular pH, and maintenance of cell volume. CLIC1 is part of the p64 family and is localized to the cell nucleus. CLIC1 displays both nuclear and plasma membrane chloride ion channel activity. Cathepsin F (CTSF) is a member of the peptidase C1 family. Cathepsins are papain family cysteine proteinases which are a main component of the lysosomal proteolytic system. The CTSF gene is ubiquitously expressed, and it maps to chromosome 11q13, close to the gene encoding cathepsin W. CTSF plays a role in normal protein catabolism. Borrelia is a part of the genus of bacteria of the spirochete phylum. Borrelia causes borreliosis, which is a zoonotic, vector-borne disease transmitted mostly by ticks and some by lice, depending on the species. Of the 36 known species of Borrelia, 12 are distinguished to cause Lyme disease or borreliosis and are transmitted by ticks. The Gram-negative bacterium Borreliella spielmanii is one of the pathogens of the Borreliella burgdorferi sensu lato complex causing Lyme disease. DbpA, also known as p17 or Osp17, is a heterogeneous protein among the human pathogenic B. burgdorferi sensu lato species.

    • Introduction

C1QTNF7 is a collagen type-IV specific for basement membranes.

    • Synonyms

      CTRP7, C1QTNF7, ZACRP7, Complement C1q tumor necrosis factor-related protein 7.

    • Physical Appearance

      Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

    • Stability

Store lyophilized protein at -20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at 4°C.

    • Solubility

Add 0.1M Acetate buffer pH4 to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5mg/mL and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. For conversion into higher pH value, we recommend intensive dilution by relevant buffer to a concentration of 10μg/ml. In higher concentrations the solubility of this antigen is limited. Product is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture.

    • Introduction

Glutamate Decarboxylase 1 (GAD1) is one of several forms of glutamic acid decarboxylase. GAD1 is responsible for catalyzing the production of gamma-aminobutyric acid from L-glutamic acid. A pathogenic role for the GAD1 enzyme has been identified in the human pancreas since it has been detected as an autoantigen and an autoreactive T cell target type II diabetes. The GAD1 protein may also have a role in the stiff man syndrome. GAD1 enzyme deficiency leads to pyridoxine dependency with seizures. GAD1 also catalyzes the production of GABA.
