HSPB7 is part of the Heat shock protein beta family. The HSPB family is one of the more diverse families within the group of HSP families. Several members have chaperone-like activities and/or participate in cytoskeletal stabilization. Several members also show a dynamic, stress-induced translocation to SC35 splicing speckles. HSPB7 constitutively localized to SC35 splicing speckles, determined by its N-terminus. HSPB7 does not support refolding though HSPB1 and HSPB5 chaperone heat unfolded substrates and keet them folding competent.

ATPaseTransporting Beta 2 (ATP1B2) is the non-catalytic component of the active enzyme, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of Na+ and K+ ions across the plasma membrane. The precise function of the beta-2 subunit is not known. The ATP1B2 protein is composed of 3 subunits: alpha (catalytic), beta and gamma.

Nucleopurin 62kDa (NUP62) belongs to the FG-repeat containing nucleoporins and is localized to the nuclear pore central plug. Nucleoporins are the principal components of the nuclear pore complex in eukaryotic cells. This complex is a colossal structure which extends across the nuclear envelope, forming an entryway that regulates the stream of macromolecules between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. NUP62 associates with the importin alpha/beta complex that is involved in the import of proteins containing nuclear localization signals. Defects in the NUP62 are the cause of SNDI (infantile striatonigral degeneration), aka infantile bilateral striatal necrosis (IBSN) or familial striatal degeneration.

Signal recognition particle 19kDa protein (SRP19) is a member of the SRP19 family. SRP19 binds directly to 7S RNA and mediates binding of the 54 kDa subunit of the SRP.

P4HB is a multifunctional and highly abundant enzyme that is part of the protein disulfide isomerase family. When present as a tetramer consisting of two alpha and two beta subunits, P4HB has a role in hydroxylation of prolyl residues in preprocollagen. P4HB is a disulfide isomerase containing two thioredoxin domains that catalyze the formation, breakage and rearrangement of disulfide bonds.

Most lipocalins are clustered on the long arm of chromosome 9. PAEP protein has been previously referred to as pregnancy-associated endometrial alpha-2-globulin, placental protein 14, and glycodelin.

Chromosome 19 Open Reading Frame 80 (C19ORF80) is a significant new regulator of lipid metabolism which regulates serum triglyceride levels, possibly by promoting ANGPTL3 cleavage. C19ORF80 belongs to the ANGPTL protein family. C19ORF80 is a hormone which specifically promotes pancreatic beta cell proliferation and beta cell mass expansion, thus improving glucose tolerance. C19ORF80 is mainly expressed in the liver; it is also expressed in adipose tissues. C19ORF80 is expressed in response to food intake.

Interleukin-18 Binding Protein (IL18BP) serves as an inhibitor of the proinflammatory cytokine, IL18. IL18BP binds IL18, inhibits the binding of IL18 to its receptor, and consequently inhibits IL18-induced IFN-gamma production, resulting in reduced T-helper type 1 immune responses. The IL18BP protein is constitutively expressed and secreted in mononuclear cells. Elevated levels of IL18BP protein are detected in the intestinal tissues of patients with Crohn's disease.

PSMB5 belongs to the proteasome B-type family that has a 20S core beta subunit in the proteasome. Across a broad range of species clusterin shows a high degree of sequence homology ranging from 70% -80%. It is nearly ubiquitously expressed in most mammalian tissues and can be found in plasma, milk, urine, cerebrospinal fluid and semen.

GLTPD1 mediates the intracellular transfer of ceramide-1-phosphate between organelle membranes and the cell membrane. GLTPD1 is essential for normal structure of the Golgi stacks. In addition, GLTPD1 is able to bind phosphoceramides with a diversity of aliphatic chains, however GLTPD1 has a preference for lipids with saturated C16:0 or monounsaturated C18:1 aliphatic chains. Biliverdin reductase is abundantly expressed in kidney, spleen, liver and brain as well as at lower levels in the thymus and minimal levels being detected in testis.
