CBR3 catalyzes the reduction of a large number of biologically and pharmacologically active carbonyl compounds to their corresponding alcohols. CBR3 is one of several monomeric NADPH-dependent oxidoreductases. Furthermore, CBR3 contains 3 exons spanning 11.2 kilobases and is strongly linked to another carbonyl reductase gene, the CBR1. It was suggested that CBR3 mediates 9-cis-retinoic acid-induced cytostatis and is a potential prognostic marker for oral malignancy.
CBR3 is identified in the ovary, pancreas, intestine, colon, kidney, brain, thymus, lung, heart, liver, spleen, leukocyte, prostate and the testis.

Glutamine--Fructose-6-Phosphate Transaminase 1 (GFPT1) participates in the hexosamine pathway and controls the glucose fluidity into the hexosamine pathway. GFPT1 regulates the availability of precursors for N- and O-linked glycosylation of proteins. GFPT1 controls the circadian expression of clock genes ARNTL/BMAL1 and CRY1.

Inositol oxygenase is a non-heme di-iron enzyme which oxidizes myo-inositol to glucuronic acid. In addition, inositol oxygenase oxidizes the less abundant chiro isomer of inositol. MIOX enzyme is a component of the only known pathway for the catabolism of inositol in humans. MIOX is expressed mostly in the kidneys. The WELQut Protease identifies and accurately cleaves recombinant proteins that has a recognition sequence added to them, with the amino acid sequence Trp, Glu, Leu, Gln, X (any amino acid). WELQut Protease cut externally from the recognition sequence, therefor doesn’t leave extra amino acids bound to the target protein. The protease isn’t temperature sensitive (works in 4-30°C) or pH sensitive (pH 6.5-9.0), also, there is no need in any particular buffers.

Phospholipase A1 Member A (PLA1A) is a phospholipase which hydrolyzes fatty acids at the sn-1 position of phosphatidylserine and 1-acyl-2-lysophosphatidylserine. The secreted PLA1A protein hydrolyzes phosphatidylserine in liposomes. PLA1A hydrolyzes phosphatidylserine (PS) in the form of liposomes and 1-acyl-2 lysophosphatidylserine (lyso-PS), but not triolein, phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), phosphatidic acid (PA) or phosphatidylinositol (PI). PLA1A isoform 2 hydrolyzes lyso-PS but not PS. The hydrolysis of lyso-PS in peritoneal mast cells activated by receptors for IgE leads to stimulation of histamine production.

Tripartite Motif Containing 33 (TRIM33) belongs to the tripartite motif family. This motif includes 3 zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. TRIM33 is assumed to be a transcriptional corepressor. TRIM33 functions as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. TRIM33 also promotes SMAD4 ubiquitination, nuclear exclusion and degradation via the ubiquitin proteasome pathway. In addition, TRIM33 inhibits the transcriptional response to TGF-beta/BMP signaling cascade. Furthermore, TRIM33 has a role in the control of cell proliferation.

TPST1 belongs to the protein sulfotransferase family. PRPS1 catalyzes the phosphoribosylation of ribose 5-phosphate to 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate, which is essential for purine metabolism and nucleotide biosynthesis. Defects in PRPS1 result in phosphoribosylpyrophosphate synthetase superactivity, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease X-linked recessive type 5 and Arts Syndrome.
