Transcription Elongation Factor A (SII)- 2 (TCEA2) is located in the nucleus, where it serves as an SII class transcription elongation factor. Elongation factors in this class are responsible for discharging RNA polymerase II ternary complexes from transcriptional arrest at template-encoded arresting sites. TCEA2 interacts with general transcription factor IIB, a basal transcription factor.

CRP is an acute phase protein that correlates with inflammatory disease and is synthesized by hepatocytes during the acute phase response by certain cytokines (IL-1 and TNF Alpha and Beta). CRP levels increase dramatically (up to 1,000 fold) and serve as a useful marker of inflammation in such conditions as bacterial infection, rheumatoid arthritis, viral infections, transplantation rejection, meningitis, myocardial infarction, septicemia, osteomyelitis and others. KCTD11 is expressed most highly in cerebellum. KCTD11 functions as an antagonist of the Hedgehog pathway and activator of the caspase cascade and among its related super-pathways are Melatonin Signaling and Activation of cAMP-Dependent PKA.

PINX1 is a common expressed protein that localizes to nucleoli and telomere speckles. PINX1 contains a Telomerase Inhibiting Domain that is caable of binding MCRS1, TERT and TERF1. PINX1 has been shown to be a potent telomerase inhibitor and putative tumor suppressor. PINX1 is recruited to chromosome periphery by Nucleolin, their complex is necessary for faithful chromosome congression. PINX1 regulates the nucleolar accumulation and telomeric association of TRF1. PINX1 is involved in gastric cancer development. PINX1 expression is a sign of gastric cancer development. Cystatins are a superfamily of cysteine proteinase inhibitors found in both plants and animals. They comprise a group of proteinase inhibitors, widely distributed in tissues and body fluids, and form tight complexes with cysteine proteases such as cathepsin B, H, L and S. Cystatin C, a secreted molecule of this family, is of interest from biochemical, medicine and evolutionary points of view. Cystatin C, with molecular weight of 13260 Da, is composed of 120 amino acids, lacks carbohydrate and has two disulfide bridges located near the carboxyl terminus. Cystatin C is increased in patients with malignant diseases, and is related to the insufficiency of renal function and appears to be a better marker than creatinine. On the other hand, low levels of cystatin C involve cause the breakdown of the elastic laminae and, subsequently, the atherosclerosis and abdominal aortic aneurysm.

DNAL4 is a component of the dynein motor complex in cells that converts the chemical energy contained in ATP into the mechanical energy of movement. Ultrastructural defects of the inner dynein arms are seen in patients with ICS. Immotile mutant strains ofChlamydomonas, biflagellated algae, show similar defects.

CGB3, belongs to the glycoprotein hormone beta chain family. CGB3 encodes the beta 3 subunit. CGB3 stimulates the expression of GCM1 target genes, as well as the fusogenic protein syncytin-1, to promote placental cell fusion. Furthermore, CGB3 is synthesized in large quantities by the growing placenta, reaching peak concentrations in maternal blood throughout the late first trimester and early mid-trimester of pregnancy.
