Similar to hexokinases 1 and 2, this allosteric enzyme is inhibited by its product glucose-6-phosphate. Hexokinase3 lacks the hydrophobic N-terminal sequence critical for targeting to mitochondria. Hexpkinase3 may have anabolic functions, providing H6P for glycogen or lipid synthesis.

Fumarase is an enzymatic factor of Krebs cycle, which catalyzes the formation of L-malate from fumarate. Fumarase exists in both a cytosolic form and an N-terminal extended form, differing only in the translation start site used. The N-terminal extended form is aimed to the mitochondrion, where the removal of the extension results in the same form as in the cytoplasm. Fumarase is similar to a number of thermostable Class-2 fumarases and functions as a homotetramer. Mutations in the Fumarase gene causes fumarase deficiency and leads to progressive encephalopathy, cerebral atrophy and developmental delay. Fumarase enzyme is also thought to act as a tumor suppressor. Leydig cell tumors are caused by Fumarase mutations and represents one of the first reports of germline mutations in any type of adult testicular tumor.

GARS is an (alpha)2 dimer which is a member of the class II family of tRNA synthetases. GARS is a glycyl-tRNA synthetase, one of the aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases which charge tRNAs with their cognate amino acids. GARS catalyzes the attachment of glycine to tRNA(Gly). In addition, GARS is able to produce diadenosine tetraphosphate (Ap4A), which is a universal pleiotropic signaling molecule required for cell regulation pathways, by direct condensation of two ATPs. GARS has been demonstrated to be a target of autoantibodies in the human autoimmune diseases, polymyositis or dermatomyositis.

CD45 leukocyte common antigen (LCA) belongs to the family of at least four isoforms of membrane glycoproteins (220, 205, 190, 180kDa) expressed on hematopoietic cell lines but absent on non-hematopoietic cell lines, normal and malignant non-hematopoietic tissues. The intracellular portion of these molecules has protein phosphatase activity and is involved in regulation of transmembrane signals.

Poly (ADP-Ribose) Polymerase 2 (PARP2) contains a catalytic domain which is homologous to that of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase but lacks an N-terminal DNA binding domain which activates the C-terminal catalytic domain of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase. γ-synuclein (Originally known as a breast cancer specific gene product, BCSG1) is an acidic neuronal protein of 127 amino acids. Gamma-Synuclein is a member of the Synuclein protein family, which is believed to be involved in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. High levels of Gamma-Synuclein have been found in advanced breast carcinomas suggesting a correlation between overexpression of SNCG and breast tumor development. Synuclein-Gamma is found mostly in the peripheral nervous system (in primary sensory neurons, sympathetic neurons, and motor neurons) and retina. SNCG is also identified in the brain, ovarian tumors, and in the olfactory epithelium. SNCG expression in breast tumors is a marker for tumor progression. A modification in the expression of gamma-synuclein has been detected in the retina of Alzheimer''s patients.

Interleukin 33 (IL-33) is a 32kDa proinflammatory cytokine that may also regulate gene transcription in producer cells. DECR1 is a mitochondrial protein which exists as a homotetramer and is a member of a family of short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases. DECR1 acts as an auxiliary enzyme of beta-oxidation andt partakes in the metabolism of unsaturated fatty enoyl-CoA esters. in particular, DECR1 uses NADP+ to catalyze the reduction of 2,4-dienoyl-CoA to yield trans-3-enoyl-CoA that can subsequently be used as an intermediate in the Krebs cycle. Furthermore, DECR1 is believed to work as a tumor suppressor, possibly downregulating the expression of Neu and slowing the rate of tumorigenesis.

CD31 is a glycoprotein expressed on endothelial cells, platelets, macrophages and Kupffer cells, granulocytes, T / NK cells, lymphocytes, megakaryocytes, fibroblasts, osteoclasts, neutrophils. In humans, the gene encoding CD31 is found on chromosome 17.
CD31 is a cluster of differentiation molecule. It is also called PECAM-1 for platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule. It plays a key role in removing aged neutrophils from the body. Both the neutrophil and the macrophage express CD31 on their membranes, and during the testing process, these CD31 molecules bind the two cells together. If the neutrophil is healthy, it will send a signal to the macrophage, and the CD31 molecules will detach.
CD31 is also expressed in certain tumors, including epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, epithelioid sarcoma-like hemangioendothelioma, other vascular tumors, histiocytic malignancies, and plasmacytomas. It is rarely found in some sarcomas and carcinomas.

Transforming growth factor betas (TGFBetas) mediate many cell-cell interactions that occur during embryonic development. Three TGFBetas have been identified in mammals.
