    • Introduction

Galectins are a family of soluble b-galactoside-binding animal lectins that modulate cell-to-cell adhesion and cell-to-extracellular matrix interactions. Galectins also take part in tumor progression, pre-mRNA splicing and apoptosis. Galectin-related protein (LGALSL) is a 172 amino acid protein which holds one galectin domain. In spite of this, LGALSL does not appear to bind carbohydrates or lactose since the critical residues required for binding are not conserved.

    • Synonyms

GRP, HSPC159, Galectin-related protein, Lectin galactoside-binding-like protein, LGALSL.

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

    • Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

    • Introduction

PSMB1 is part of the proteasome B-type family, also identified as the T1B family, that is a 20S core beta subunit. PSMB1 is tightly linked to the TBP (TATA-binding protein) gene in human and in mouse, and is transcribed in the opposite orientation in both species. The main function of PSMB1 is its degradation activity of unnecessary or damaged proteins by proteolysis. PSMB1 is a multicatalytic proteinase complex which is characterized by its ability to cleave peptides with arg, phe, tyr, leu, and glu adjacent to the leaving group at neutral or slightly basic ph. the proteasome has an atp-dependent proteolytic activity.

    • Synonyms

      HC5, PSC5, PMSB1, FLJ25321, KIAA1838, PSMB1, Proteasome subunit beta type-1, Proteasome component C5, Macropain subunit C5, Multicatalytic endopeptidase complex subunit C5, Proteasome gamma chain.

    • Introduction

The gamma globin genes which are HBG1 and HBG2, usually expressed in the fetal liver, spleen and bone marrow. 2 gamma chains together along with 2 alpha chains comprise fetal hemoglobin (HbF) which is normally replaced by mature hemoglobin (HbA) at birth. Gamma chain production continues into adulthood in several beta-thalassemias and linked situations. The two types of gamma chains differ at residue 136 where glycine is found in the G-gamma product (HBG2) and alanine is found in the A-gamma product (HBG1). The former is predominant at birth.

The Melanoma Inhibitory protein (MIA) was identified as an inhibitor of in vitro growth of malignant melanoma cells. The protein contains a SH3 domain. MIA acts as a potent tumor cell growth inhibitor for malignant melanoma cells and some other neuroectodermal tumors, including gliomas, in an autocrine fashion. In a study of human melanoma cell lines with different metastatic capacity MIA mRNA expression appeared to be inversely correlated with pigmentation. MIA has been shown to represent a very sensitive and specific serum marker for systemic malignant melanoma that might be useful for staging of primary melanomas, detection of progression from localized to metastatic disease during follow-up, and monitoring therapy of advanced melanomas.

    • Introduction

Cystatins are a superfamily of cysteine proteinase inhibitors found in both plants and animals. They comprise a group of proteinase inhibitors, widely distributed in tissues and body fluids, and form tight complexes with cysteine proteases such as cathepsin B, H, L and S. Cystatin C, a secreted molecule of this family, is of interest from biochemical, medicine and evolutionary points of view. Cystatin C, with molecular weight of 13260 Da, is composed of 120 amino acids, lacks carbohydrate and has two disulfide bridges located near the carboxyl terminus. Cystatin C is increased in patients with malignant diseases, and is related to the insufficiency of renal function and appears to be a better marker than creatinine. On the other hand, low levels of cystatin C involve cause the breakdown of the elastic laminae and, subsequently, the atherosclerosis and abdominal aortic aneurysm.

AITRL Human Recombinant: Unraveling its Significance in Immune Modulation and Therapeutic Implications

      1. Abstract

This research paper provides a comprehensive examination of AITRL Human Recombinant, an essential protein involved in immune modulation. By exploring its structure, signaling mechanisms, biological functions, and implications in disease pathology, we shed light on the potential therapeutic applications of AITRL in immune-related disorders.

      2. Introduction

AITRL, also known as TNFSF18, is a receptor protein belonging to the tumor necrosis factor superfamily. It plays a crucial role in immune regulation and has emerged as an intriguing target for therapeutic interventions in various immune-mediated conditions.

      3. Structure and Signaling of AITRL

AITRL is a transmembrane protein with a conserved TNF domain. It interacts with its receptor, AITR (TNFRSF18), leading to downstream signaling events that modulate immune cell function. The binding of AITRL to AITR promotes immune cell activation and cytokine production.

      4. Biological Functions of AITRL

AITRL is involved in the regulation of immune responses by influencing T-cell activation, proliferation, and differentiation. It can stimulate effector T-cell responses while also promoting the development and function of regulatory T cells, thus maintaining immune homeostasis.

      5. AITRL in Disease Pathology

Dysregulation of AITRL signaling has been implicated in various immune-related disorders, including autoimmune diseases, allergic reactions, and cancer. AITRL's involvement in disease pathology highlights its significance as a potential therapeutic target.

      6. Therapeutic Potential of AITRL

The unique role of AITRL in immune modulation presents opportunities for therapeutic interventions. Modulating AITRL signaling holds promise for manipulating immune responses in the context of autoimmune diseases, allergic disorders, and cancer immunotherapy.

      7. Conclusion and Future Perspectives

While our understanding of AITRL and its functions has advanced significantly, further research is needed to unravel its complex signaling pathways and therapeutic potential fully. Continued investigations into AITRL biology will pave the way for the development of targeted therapies for immune-related disorders.

    • Introduction

EFNA3 belongs to the ephrin (EPH) family. The ephrins and EPH-related receptors include thelargest subfamily of receptor protein-tyrosine kinases which have been implicated in mediating developmental events, especially in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis. Ephrins are divided into the ephrin-A (EFNA) class and the ephrin-B (EFNB) class, based on their structures and sequence relationships. The Ephrins from the EFNA class are anchored to the membrane by aglycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage, while the others from the EFNB class are transmembrane proteins.

    • Introduction

Stratifin is part of the 14-3-3 family. The 14-3-3 family of proteins plays an important regulatory function in signal transduction, checkpoint control, apoptotic and nutrient-sensing pathways. 14-3-3 proteins are highly conserved and ubiquitously expressed. There are 7 isoforms, beta, gamma, epsilon, sigma, zeta, tau and eta that have been identified in mammals. Stratifin is an epithelial cell marker that functions as a tumor suppressor whose expression can be down regulated via methylation. Failure of Stratifin expression results in a defective G2/M phase checkpoint and results in epithelial and non-epithelial tumorigenesis.

    • Introduction

FABP1 (Fatty acid binding protein1) encodes the fatty acid binding protein found in liver. FABP1 is composed of ten antiparallel beta strands that form a barrel with a bigger binding pocket than the other FABPs allowing it to accommodate two fatty acid. This protein binds free fatty acids and their coenzyme A derivatives, bilirubin, and some other small molecules in the cytoplasm; it may be involved in intracellular lipid transport and metabolism.

    • Synonyms

      Fatty acid-binding protein 1 liver, L-FABP, FABPL, FABP-1, FABP1, Z-protein.

    • Physical Appearance

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

    • Stability

Lyophilized FABP1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution FABP1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

    • Solubility

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized FABP1 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
