    • Introduction

SNCA or Alpha-synuclein is a protein with undisclosed function that mainly concentrated in the brain tissue, mainly in the tips of the neurons in the presynaptic terminals. Almost 1% of the proteins in the brain tissues are synucleins. The protein is located mainly in the hippocampus, thalamus, cerebellum & neocortex. Smaller amounts of the SNCA protein can be found in the neuroglial cells. The MITF protein regulates the SNCA expression in melanocytic cells.

    Description

Osteopontin Human Recombinant is a single, glycosylated, polypeptide chain produced in HEK293 cells, is a full length protein (amino acids 17-314) fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, having a total calculated molecular mass of 34.5kDa (The actual molecular mass may be approximately 60-65kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation).Osteopontin is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

    Source

    HEK293 cells.

    Formulation

Osteopontin was lyophilized from a 0.2µM filtered solution of 20mM PBS and 150mM NaCl, pH 7.2.

    • Introduction

Osteopontin is a glycoprotein that was first identified in osteoblasts and is involved in bone remodeling, immune functions in fibroblasts, macrophages, and lymphocytes during inflammation and wound healing. SPP1 binds tightly to hydroxyapatite. SPP1 forms an integral part of the mineralized matrix. SPP1 is vital to cell-matrix interaction.
Secreted Phosphoprotein-1 protects against cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury via late preconditioning. Expression of both Ostepontin and CD44 in hepatocellular carcinoma is linked with advanced tumor stage and contributes to prognosis information. SPP1 is the most over-expressed gene in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Secreted Phosphoprotein-1 overexpression is related with interstitial lung diseases.

    • Synonyms

Secreted Phosphoprotein-1, OPN, BNSP, BSPI, ETA-1, MGC110940, SPP-1, Osteopontin, Bone sialoprotein 1, Urinary stone protein, Nephropontin, Uropontin, SPP1.

    • Physical Appearance

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

    • Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. Please avoid freeze thaw cycles.

    • Solubility

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized SPP1 in 1xPBS to a concentration no less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

    • Introduction

G antigen family D member 2 (XAGE1A) belongs to the XAGE subfamily, which is a member of the GAGE family. The GAGE genes are expressed various tumors and in a number of fetal and reproductive tissues. XAGE1A contains a nuclear localization signal and shares a sequence similarity with other GAGE/PAGE proteins. XAGE1A is strongly expressed in Ewing's sarcoma, alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma and normal testis. Due to the expression pattern and the sequence similarity, the XAGE1A protein is also a member of a family of CT (cancer-testis) antigens.

    • Synonyms

      X antigen family member 1, XAGE-1, Cancer/testis antigen 12.1, CT12.1, G antigen family D member 2, XAGE1A, GAGED2, XAGE1, CTP9, CT12.1C.

    Description

FKBP4 produced in E.Coli is a single,non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 479 amino acids (1-459 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 53.9 kDa.FKBP4 is fused to a 20 amino acid His Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

    Source

    Escherichia Coli.

    Formulation

    The FKBP4 protein solution contains 20mM Tris-HCl, pH-8 and 10% glycerol.

    Purity

Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

    Biological Activity

Specific activity is > 300 nmoles/min/mg, and is defined as the amount of enzyme that cleaves 1umole of suc-AAFP-pNA per minute at 25C in Tris-Hcl pH 8.0 using chymotrypsin.

    • Introduction

FKBP4 is part of the immunophilin protein family, which takes part in immunoregulation and necessary cellular processes concerning protein folding and trafficking. FKBP4 is a cis-trans prolyl isomerase that connects to the immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin. FKBP4 has high structural and functional similarity to FKBP1A, though, FKBP4 does not have immunosuppressant activity when complexed with FK506. FKBP4 is known to connect with phytanoyl-CoA alpha-hydroxylase. FKBP4 associates with HSP90 & HSP70 thus takes part in the intracellular trafficking of hetero-oligomeric forms of the steroid hormone receptors. FKBP4 highly associates with adeno-associated virus type 2 vectors (AAV) resulting in a considerable increase in AAV-mediated transgene expression in human cell lines. FKBP4 is involved in the optimal use of AAV vectors in human gene therapy.

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile filtered colorless solution.

    • Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
