Major histocompatibility complex, class II, DR alpha (HLA-DRA) belongs to the MHC class II family. HLA-DRA binds peptides derived from antigens which access the endocytic route of antigen presenting cells (APC) and presents them on the cell surface for identification by the CD4 T-cells. The peptide binding cleft accommodates peptides of 10-30 residues. The peptides presented by MHC class II molecules are generated mainly by degradation of proteins which access the endocytic route, where they are processed by lysosomal proteases and other hydrolases.

Otoraplin takes pasrt in the initiation of periotic mesenchyme chondrogenesis.
Otoraplin is secreted through the Golgi apparatus and plays a role in cartilage development and maintenance. A frequent polymorphism in the translation start codon of OTOR can abolish translation and may be associated with forms of deafness.

Lymphocyte Antigen 9, also known as LY9 is a member of the SLAM family of immunomodulatory receptors, LY9 interacts with the adaptor molecule SAP . LY9 plays a part in adhesion reactions between T lymphocytes and accessory cells via homophilic interaction. LY9 promotes T-cell differentiation into a helper T-cell Th17 phenotype which leads to increased IL-17 secretion; the costimulatory activity requires SH2D1A. Furthermore it also promotes recruitment of RORC to the IL-17 promoter. LY9 is implicated in the maintenance of peripheral cell tolerance through serving as a negative regulator of the immune response. LY9 disables autoantibody responses as well as inhibits IFN-gamma secretion by CD4(+) T-cells. Forty-two antigenic domains were identified across the hepatitis A virus (HAV) polyprotein by using a set of 237 overlapping 20-mer synthetic peptides spanning the entire HAV polyprotein. Nineteen antigenic domains were found within the structural proteins, and 22 were found within the nonstructural proteins, with 1 domain spanning the junction of VP1 and P2A proteins. Genotypes 1 and 4 are less responsive to interferon-based treatment than are the other genotypes (2, 3, 5 and 6).

CRTAM is implicated in epithelial cell adhesion. Furthermore, CRTAM interacts with CADM1 as well as promotes natural killer (NK) cell cytotoxicity.

MYC Induced Nuclear Antigen, also known as MINA is an oxygenase which can function both as a histone lysine demethylase and a ribosomal histidine hydroxylase. MINA is involved in the demethylation of trimethylated Lys-9 on histone H3 (H3K9me3), leading to an increase in ribosomal RNA expression. MINA also catalyzes the hydroxylation of 60S ribosomal protein L27a on His-39. In addition, MINA plays a significant role in cell growth and survival. MINA is implicated in ribosome biogenesis, probably in the duration of the assembly process of pre-ribosomal particles.
