Coiled-Coil Domain Containing 43 (CCDC43) which is a member of the CCDC43 family is a human protein whose function is currently not understood. Coding sequence diversity are two isoforms produced by alternative splicing. Isoform 1 has been chosen as the 'canonical' sequence.

GPD2 (Mitochondrial glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) is a Ca2+-sensitive, FAD-binding protein, which is located on the outer surface of the inner mitochondrial membrane. Two isoforms have been identified for mGPD: Isoform 1 is comprised of 727 a.a. residues, while isoform 2 lacks 126 a.a. residues of the N-terminus. GPD2 catalyses the oxidation of glycerol-3-phosphate to DHAP (dihydroxyacetone phosphate) with associated reduction of the enzyme-bound FAD. GPD2 is a testis-specific promoter of mitochondrial GPDH. GPD2 along with a cytosolic NAD-linked GPD forms the glycerol phosphate shuttle that uses the interconversion of G-3-P and DHAP to transfer reducing equivalents into mitochondria, which results in the reoxidation of NADH produced during glycolysis.

PPIH enzyme is a precise factor of the complex that comprises pre-mRNA processing factors PRPF3, PRPF4, and PRPF18, as well as U4/U5/U6 tri-snRNP. PRDX1 is part of the peroxiredoxin family of antioxidant enzymes, which reduce hydrogen peroxide and alkyl hydroperoxides. PRDX1 is an important protector of red blood cells against reactive oxygen species and in tumor prevention.

Charged Multivesicular Body Protein 5 (CHMP5) is a member of the chromatin-modifying protein/charged multivesicular body protein (CHMP) family. Cytokeratin 14 is a member of the keratin family, the most diverse group of intermediate filaments. Cytokeratin 14 is a type I keratin, is usually found as a heterotetramer with two keratin 5 molecules, a type II keratin. Together they form the cytoskeleton of epithelial cells. CMV has the largest genome of the herpes viruses, ranging from 230-240 kilobase pairs. Human CMV is composed of unique and inverted repeats that include the existence of 4 genome isomers caused by inversion of L-S genome components (class E). Replication may be divided into immediate early, delayed early, and late gene expression based on time of synthesis after infection. The DNA is replicated by rolling circles. In vitro, CMV replicates in human fibroblasts.
