Rab3A is a member of the small GTPase superfamily, Rab family. Rab3A is a small, Ras-like GTPase expressed in neuroendocrine cells, in which Rab3A is linked with secretory vesicle membranes and regulates exocytosis. Rab3A protein may have a role in neurotransmitter release by regulating membrane flow in the nerve terminal.

CDC34 takes part in the control of cell cycle and DNA replication. Cdc34 in association with different E3 complexes, including SCF, targets many different substrates for ubiquitination and degradation during cell division, signal transduction, and development. Cdc34 substrates that have been characterized include B-Myb, Wee1, MyoD, ATF5, p27Xic1, and p27Kip1. Additionally, substrates such as p21Cip1, E2F, cyclin E, and cyclin D are putative substrates of Cdc34 by virtue of their SCF requirement for proteolysis. Cdc34 is self-associate through a domain in the C-terminus, and is phosphorylated and ubiquitinylated in vivo. CDC34is useful for in vitro ubiquitinylation reactions.

Homeobox C11 (HOXC11) is a member of the Abd-B homeobox family. The homeobox genes encode well conservedfamily of transcription factors that play a vital role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. HOXC11is one of numerous homeobox HOXC genes placed in a cluster on chromosome 12. HOXC11 attaches to a promoterelement of the lactase-phlorizin hydrolase. HOXC11 also takes part in early intestinal development. An alternativelyspliced variant encoding a shorter isoform has been defined however, its full-length nature has not been determined.

ARL11 (ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 11) belongs to the ARF family of the Ras superfamily of small GTPases which are known to be involved in multiple regulatory pathways altered in human carcinogenesis. ARFs are highly conserved guanine nucleotide binding proteins which enhance the ADP-ribosyltransferase activity of choleratoxin. ARFs are important in eukaryotic vesicular trafficking pathways and they have a vital role in the activation of phospholipase D (PC-PLD). ARL11 is assumed to act as a tumor suppressor which may have a role in the regulation of apoptosis.

TCEB2 is a subunit of the SIIII complex which is a heterotrimer consisting of a transcriptionally active subunit (A) and two regulatory subunits (B and C). TCEB2 initiates elongation by RNA polymerase II by suppressing transient pausing of the polymerase at many sites within transcription units. The von Hippel-Lindau tumor suppressor protein binds to elongins B and C, and thereby inhibits transcription elongation.

Podoplanin is a small mucin-like type-1 transmembrane protein, typically expressed in various specialized cell types throughout the body. Podoplanin is a type-I integral membrane glycoprotein with diverse distribution in human tissues. PDPN physiological function is related to its mucin-type character. The homologous protein in other species has been described as a differentiation antigen and influenza-virus receptor.
PDPN is expressed in lymphatic progenitor cells and afterwards during mouse development in lymphatic endothelial cells. Podoplanin is a specific marker for lymph vessel endothelial cells. Over-expression of podoplanin significantly elevates endothelial cell adhesion, migration, and tube formation. Inhibition of Podoplanin expression decreases cell adhesion in human dermal lymphatic endothelial cells. Podoplanin is used as a specific marker for lymphatic endothelium in histopathology.

CD14 (also known lipopolysaccharide (LPS) receptor) is expressed strongly on monocytes and macrophage and weakly on the surface of neutrophils. CD14 is anchored to cells by linkage to glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) and functions as a high affinity receptor for complexes of LPS and LPS binding protein (LBP). TRAIL Receptor-3, also known as TNFRSF10C belongs to theTNF-receptor super family. TNFRSF10C contains an extracellular TRAIL-binding domain as well as a transmembranedomain, however no cytoplasmic death domain. RAB31 Member RAS Oncogene Family (RAB31) is a 194 amino lipid-anchored protein which localizes to the cytoplasmic side of the cell membrane and is a member of the Ras related GTPase superfamily. RAB31 is expressed at high levels in the lung, brain and heart. RAB31 functions in a similar mode to other Rab proteins, namely playing a part in protein transport. Small GTP-binding proteins of the RAB family, for example RAB31, play critical roles in vesicle and granule targeting. RAB31 gas the highest expression in the placenta and brain with lower levels in the heart and lung. However, RAB31 is not detected in liver, skeletal muscle, kidney or pancreas.
