    • Introduction

PDZ Domain Containing 11 (PDZD11) is a cytosolic protein which contains one PDZ (DHR) domain. PDZD11 displays a resemblance to members of the MALS / VELIS family of proteins. PDZD11 contains but one PDZ domain which seemingly interacts with the C-terminus of partner proteins. PDZD11 is ubiquitously expressed and targets calcium and copper ATPases to basolateral cell membranes. PDZD11 is a briefly interacting partner of the PMCA b-splice forms which have a role in their sorting to or from the plasma membrane.

    • Synonyms

      PDZ domain-containing protein 11, ATPase-interacting PDZ protein, Plasma membrane calcium ATPase-interacting single-PDZ protein, PMCA-interacting single-PDZ protein, PDZD11, AIPP1, PDZK11, PISP.

    • Introduction

Fibroblast Growth Factor-19 (FGF-19) is a member of the FGF family. FGF-19 interacts with FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. T FGF-19 takes part in the suppression of bile acid biosynthesis through downregulation of CYP7A1 expression, following positive regulation of the JNK and EPK1/2 cascades. FGF-19 stimulates glucose uptake in adiposytes and is a high affinity, heparin dependent ligand for FGFR4.

    • Synonyms

      fibroblast growth factor 19, FGF19.

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

    • Introduction

Celiac disease is an enteropathy that is characterized by intestinal lesions of variable severity. Tissue-type transglutaminase (tTG) is believed to be the predominant autoantigen for celiac disease and the corresponding autoantibodies show higher sensitivity and specificity than anti-gliadin antibodies. Highly pure recombinant human tTG is now available to replace the traditionally used tTG fraction from guinea pig.
Tissue-type transglutaminase antigens have been specifically modified for improved handling: exchange of an active site amino acid eliminates the protein cross-linking activity of the enzyme, while maintaining the native three-dimensional structure and the enzyme's secondary GTPase activity. This engineering assures reproducible properties of the antigen preparations through the absence of variable and ill-defined covalent aggregates of tTG antigen and host cell proteins.

    • Synonyms

      Protein gamma-glutamyltransferase 2, EC 2.3.2.13, Tissue transglutaminase, TGase C, TGC, TG(C), Transglutaminase-2, TGase-H, TG2, TGM2.

    • Introduction

HAAO is a monomeric cytosolic protein which is a member of intramolecular dioxygenases family containing nonheme ferrous iron. The HAAO protein catalyzes the synthesis of quinolinic acid (QUIN) from 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid. QUIN is an excitotoxin whose toxicity is facilitated by its ability to activate glutamate N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors. Amplified cerebral levels of QUIN may contribute to the pathogenesis of neurologic and inflammatory disorders. HAAO is widely distributed in peripheral organs, such as liver and kidney, and is also present in low amounts in the central nervous system.

    • Introduction

Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 H (UBE2H) is a member of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. Protein modification with ubiquitin is a vital cellular apparatus for directing abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination requires at least 3 classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s) ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s) and ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3s). UBE2H receives ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. UBE2H protein sequence is 100% identical to the mouse homolog and 98% identical to the frog and zebrafish homologs.

    • Introduction

6PGD is the second dehydrogenase in the pentose phosphate shunt. Pentose is neccesary for nucleic acid biosynthesis. The pentose phosphate cycle is a major source of NADPH 6PGD deficiency is usually asymptomatic, and the inheritance of this disorder is autosomal dominant. PGD deficiency raises the erythrocyte pyruvate kinase levels of activity and decreases glutathione synthetase, resulting in hemolysis.

    More Info

    • Introduction

PGK1 is an X-linked enzyme that has a major role in the glycolytic pathway. PGK1 is a glycolytic enzyme which catalyzes the conversion of 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate, generating an ATP molecule. PGK1 may also act as a cofactor for polymerase alpha. Defects in the PGK1 gene are usually associated with chronic hemolytic anemia, though it can be accompanied by either mental retardation or muscular disease (rhabdomyolysis). Overexpression of PGK1 and its signalling targets are possibly an expression-pathway in diffuse primary gastric carcinomas promoting peritoneal dissemination. It was shown that PGK1 is differentially expressed in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex from patients with schizophrenia.

      Phosphoglycerate kinase 1, Primer recognition protein 2, Cell migration-inducing gene 10 protein, PRP 2, PGKA, MIG10, MGC8947, MGC117307, MGC142128, PGK1.

    • Physical Appearance

      Sterile filtered colorless solution.

    • Stability

PGK1 although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze thaw cycles.
