GH is a member of the prolactin family of hormones which play an important role in growth control. The gene, along with four other related genes, is located at the GH locus on chromosome 17 where they are interspersed in the same transcriptional orientation; an arrangement which is thought to have evolved by a series of gene duplications. The five genes share a remarkably high degree of sequence identity. Alternative splicing generates additional isoforms of each of the five GHs, leading to further diversity and potential for specialization. This particular family member is expressed in the pituitary but not in placental tissue as is the case for the other four genes in the GH locus. Mutations in or deletions of the gene lead to GH deficiency and short stature.

SARS Coronavirus is an enveloped virus containing three outer structural proteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), and spike (S) proteins. Spike (S)-glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellular receptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viral entry into susceptible target cells. Accordingly, S-protein plays an important role in virus infection cycle and is the primary target of neutralizing antibodies.

NNMT is part of the family of transferases, especially those transferring one-carbon group methyltransferases. NNMT is mostly expressed in the liver, and a lower expression is seen in the kidney, lung, skeletal muscle, placenta and heart. NNMT catalyzes the N-methylation of nicotinamide and other pyridines to form pyridinium ions. This activity is significant for biotransformation of many drugs and xenobiotic compounds. NNMT is accountable for the enzymatic activity which uses S-adenosyl methionine as the methyl donor. NNMT expression is related with tumor stage and DFS time in hepatocellular carcinoma cases. NNMT is a good candidate as a tumor marker of various kinds of cancers. NNMT serum levels have significance in the premature detection and in the management of patients with colorectal cancer.

SNRPC is a member of the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein C family. The SNRPC protein component of the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) particle required for the formation of the spliceosome. SNRPC participates in the processing of nuclear precursor messenger RNA splicing. snRNP particles are tackled by autoantibodies frequently produced by patients with connective tissue diseases.

Interferon Alpha And Beta Receptor or IFNAR1, is part of the class II cytokine receptor family. IFNAR1 forms one of the two chains of a receptor for interferons alpha and beta. IFNAR1 binds and activates the receptor that stimulates Janus protein kinases, which then phosphorylate few proteins, including STAT1 & STAT2. Furthermore, IFNAR1 also acts as an antiviral factor.

Nuclear distribution gene C homolog (NUDC) is a nuclear distribution protein. The NUDC protein has a key role in mitosis and cytokinesis. NUDC is involved in spindle formation during mitosis and in microtubule organization during cytokinesis. NUDC is required for correct formation of mitotic spindles and chromosome separation during mitosis, as well as cell proliferation. NUDC also has a role in neurogenesis and neuronal migration.

Prion protein (PRNP) is a ubiquitous membrane glycoprotein whose abnormal self-replicating, misfolded form is widely believed to cause several central nervous system disorders, together known as Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (TSE). PRNP contains a highly unstable region of five tandem octapeptide repeat. Mutations in PRNP protein’s repeat region as well as elsewhere have been associated with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, fatal familial insomnia, Gerstmann-Straussler disease, Huntington disease-like 1, and kuru.

Hemagglutinin-Influenza A Virus H7N9 Anhui 2013 (Anhui H7N9) is a part of the influenza viruses hemagglutinin family. H7N9 Anhui is anantigenic glycoprotein which is responsible for binding the virus to the infected cell. An H7N9 virus was firstreported to have infected humans in March 2013, in China. Although the risk is low, The H7N9 virus has thegreatest potential compared with other influenza A viruses to cause a pandemicbecause like other type A viruses, it is not easily transmitted between people in its current form.

Dnase is activated by bivalent metals such as Mg+2 and Ca+2 .
Dnase enzymes are common reagents used in biochemical methods requiring diestion of DNA and recovery of RNA, or where DNA is to be removed without affecting structural proteins or enzymes. Dnase enzymes are also used in tissue culture to digest DNA from damaged cells, resulting in reduced viscosity, and for removal of membrane-bound DNA fragments.

TNFRSF14, a member of the TNF receptor superfamily, is a type I transmembrane protein. Alpha crystallins are composed of two gene products ; alpha-A and alpha-B, for acidic and basic, respectively. Decorin (DCN) is a small cellular or pericellular matrix proteoglycan which is closely related in structure to biglycan protein. Decorin is a secreted protein which binds to collagen and fibronectin in extracellular matrix. Decorin appears in different glycoforms, substituted with chondroitin sulfate or dermatan sulfate consistent with the original tissue. DCN contains one attached glycosaminoglycan chain. Decorin influences the rate of fibril formation. Decorin is capable of suppressing the growth of various tumor cell lines. DCN gene defects cause corneal dystrophy. Homeobox A9 (HOXA9) is a member of the Abd-B homeobox family. The HOXA9 protein is a transcription factor with a key role in both haemopoiesis and leukaemia. High levels of HOXA9 expression in haemopoietic cells is a distinctive feature of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), and may be sufficient to cause this disease. HOXA9 overexpression noticeably expands hematopoietic stem cells. The HOXA9 gene is part of the A cluster on chromosome 7 and encodes a DNA-binding transcription factor which regulates gene expression, morphogenesis, and differentiation. HOXA9 is a sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system, which provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. HOXA9 is essential for induction of E-selectin and VCAM-1, on the endothelial cells surface at sites of inflammation.

NAA10 is a member of the acetyltransferase family. NAA10 interacts with NAA15, HIF-1 and with the ribosome. In its binding to HIF-1, NAA10 functions as a protein acetyltransferase by regulating its stability. In various cell lines, NAA10 is downregulated in response to hypoxia. NAA10 is expressed during the course of the development of the brain.

N-acylneuraminate-9-phosphatase (NANP) belongs to the haloacid dehalogenase (HAD) family and is responsible for dephosphorylating N-acylneuraminate 9-phosphate to form N-acylneuraminate (N-acylneuraminate 9-phosphate + H2O = N-acylneuraminate + phosphate).
