ADP-ribosylation factor 3 (ARF3) belongs to the human ARF gene family. This family encodes small guanine nucleotide-binding proteins which stimulate the ADP-ribosyltransferase activity of cholera toxin and have a role in vesicular trafficking and as activators of phospholipase D. ARF3 functions as an allosteric activator of the cholera toxin catalytic subunit, an ADP-ribosyltransferase. ARF3 is involved in protein trafficking; may modulate vesicle budding and uncoating within the Golgi apparatus. The ARF3 gene is comprised of 5 exons and 4 introns.

Interleukin-1 ra is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This protein inhibits the activities of interleukin 1, alpha (IL1A) and interleukin 1, beta (IL1B), and modulates a variety of interleukin 1 related immune and inflammatory responses. This gene and five other closely related cytokine genes form a gene cluster spanning approximately 400 kb on chromosome 2. A polymorphism of this gene is reported to be associated with increased risk of osteoporotic fractures and gastric cancer. Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.

Cluster of Differentiation 244 (CD244/Natural Killer Cell Receptor 2B4) contains 2 Ig-like (immunoglobulin-like) domains. CD244 is a cell surface receptor expressed on natural killer (NK) cells (and some T cells) which mediate non-major histocompatibility complex (MHC) restricted killing. NK-cell and target cells interaction via the CD244 receptor is believed to modulate NK-cell cytolytic activity. CD244 molecules function in eosinophil adhesion and chemotaxis, and have a role in the pathophysiology of allergic rhinitis (AR).

Mitochondrial rRNA methyltransferase 1 homolog (MRM1) is a part of the RNA methyltransferase TrmH family. MRM1 methylates the ribose of guanosine G-2270 in the peptidyl transferase center of the mitochondrial large ribosomal RNA (21S).

SSR4 is a member of the TRAP-delta family. SSR4 is the delta subunit of the translocon-associated protein complex that participates in translocating proteins through the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. SSR4 positioned in the Xq28 region and organized in a compact head-to-head manner with the isocitrate dehydrogenase 3 (NAD+) gamma gene. Both genes are motivated by a CpG-embedded bidirectional promoter.

TRAF2 protein is related with transduce signals from members of the TNFR superfamily. TRAF2 is located in the cytoplasm binds to TRAF1, TRAF2, or TRAF3, thus inhibiting TRAF function by sequestering the TRAFs in a suppressed state in the cytoplasm. Overexpression of TANK inhibits TRAF2-mediated NF-Kappa-B activation signaled by CD40 and both TNF receptors and inhibits LMP1-mediated NF-kappa-B activation by blocking the association of TRAF2 with LMP1. TRAF2 is necessary for the cellular response to TNF-alpha by connecting upstream signalling molecules to the IKKs and p65.

SNRPC is a member of the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein C family. The SNRPC protein component of the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) particle required for the formation of the spliceosome. SNRPC participates in the processing of nuclear precursor messenger RNA splicing. snRNP particles are tackled by autoantibodies frequently produced by patients with connective tissue diseases.

MAP1LC3B is a member of the MAP1 LC3 family. MAP1LC3B is a subunit of neuronal microtubule-associated MAP1A and MAP1B proteins, that are involved in microtubule assembly and important for neurogenesis. In addition, MAP1LC3B takes part in formation of autophagosomal vacuoles and is expressed mainly in heart, testis, brain and skeletal muscle.

CHMP2B is a member of the vacuolar sorting protein family. CHMP2B is a component of the ESCRT-III complex which is essential for sorting endosomal articles into multivesicular bodies (MVBs), and are also obligatory for the formation of these bodies. CHMP2B is usually found in brain, heart, skeletal muscle, small intestine, pancreas, lung, placenta and leukocytes.

Thyroid Hormone Responsive (THRSP) is a member of the SPOT14 family. THRSP is similar to the gene product of S14, a rat gene whose expression is limited to liver and adipose tissue and is controlled by nutritional and hormonal factors. THRSP is expressed in liver and adipocytes, specifically in lipomatous modules. In addition It is expressed in lipogenic breast cancers, which suggests a role in controlling tumor lipid metabolism.

Human interleukin family 1, member 5 (IL-1F5 / FIL1-delta) belongs to the interleukin 1 cytokine family. IL1F5 is expressed by a variety of cells including monocytes, Bcells, dendritic cells/Langerhans cells, keratinocytes,and gastric fundus Parietal and Chief cells. IL1F5 is an antagonist of IL1F9; however IL1F5 activity related to receptor binding remains unclear. Human and mouse IL1F5 share 90% amino acid sequence identity.

Multiple forms of FGFR-1 to -3 are generated by alternative splicing of the mRNAs. A frequent splicing event involving FGFR-1 and -2 results in receptors containing all three Ig domains, referred to as the alpha isoform, or only IgII and IgIII. Only the alpha isoform has been identified for FGFR-3 and FGFR-4. Additional splicing events for FGFR-1 to -3, involving the C-terminal half of the IgIII domain encoded by 2 mutually exclusive alternative exons, generate FGF receptors with alternative IgIII domains (IIIb and IIIc). A IIIa isoform which is a secreted FGF binding protein containing only the N-terminal half of the IgIII domain plus some intron sequences has also been reported for FGFR-1.

RERG is a 199 amino acid protein which localizes in the cytoplasm and is a member of the Ras subfamily of small GTPases. RERG is expressed in the pancreas, liver, skin, lung, brain, kidney and heart tissue. RERG is a vital mediator of diverse cell signaling pathways, including those leading to cell proliferation, cytoskeletal organization and secretion.

IL-2Ra is released into the serum after increased cellular expression such as increased activation of B and T cells. Clinical manifestations of IL2-Ra elevation include autoimmune conditions and some leukemias and lymphomas.

VEGFR-1 thus leads not to proliferation of endothelial cells, but mediates signals for differentiation. Interestingly a naturally occuring soluble variant of VEGFR-1 (sVEGFR-1) was found in HUVE supernatants in 1996, which is generated by alternative splicing of the flt-1 mRNA. The biological functions of sVEGFR-1 still are not clear, but it seems to be an endogenous regulator of angiogenesis, binding VEGF with the same affinity as the full-length receptor.

Guanine nucleotide binding proteins are heterotrimeric signal-transducing molecules comprising alpha, beta, and gamma subunits. GNAI1 represents the alpha subunit of an inhibitory complex. Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(i) subunit alpha (GNAI1) functions to transmit information from cell surface receptors to intracellular effectors. GNAI1 binds guanine nucleotide, can hydrolyze GTP, and can interact with other proteins. GNAI1 is part of a complex that responds to beta-adrenergic signals by inhibiting adenylate cyclase. In addition, GNAI1 functions to open atrial potassium channels.

GRB2 is widely expressed and binds the EGFR and contains one SH2 domain and two SH3 domains which form a complex formation with proline-rich regions of other proteins, and its SH2 domain binds tyrosine phosphorylated sequences. GRB2 is related to the Sem5 gene of C.elegans, which is takes part in the signal transduction pathway. GRB2 is an adaptor protein that provides an important link between cell surface growth factor receptors and the Ras signaling pathway. Inhibition of GRB2 activity damages developmental processes in a variety of organisms and blocks transformation and proliferation of different cell types.

Folate Receptor 1, also known as FOLR1, is a part of the folate receptor family whose members bind folic acid. FOLR1 binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and facilitates transfer of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the cells. FOLR1 is either attaches to membranes through a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage or exists in a soluble form. FOLR1 is also needed for embryonic development and normal cell proliferation.

TICAM2 belongs to the Toll/interleukin-1 receptor (TIR) family, a group of proteins which include the Toll-like receptors (TLRs). TICAM2, a cytoplasmic protein, physically bonds TLR4 and TICAM-1 and functionally transfers LPS-TLR4 signaling to TICAM-1, that sequentially activates IRF-3. TICAM2 takes part in IL1-triggered NF-kappa-B activation, operating upstream of IRAK1, IRAK2, TRAF6, and IKBKB.

The OmpA protein is one of the main outer-membrane proteins of a large array of Gram-negative bacteria such as A.salmonicida, Shigella dysenteriae and E.coli.OmpA’s major physiological functions include maintenance of the structural integrity and morphology of the cells and porin activity, as well as a role in conjugation and bacteriophage binding.Achromogenic atypical Aeromonas salmonicida is the causative agent of goldfish ulcer disease.Virulence of this bacterium is associated with the production of a paracrystalline outer membrane A-layer protein.The species specific structural gene for the monomeric form of A-protein was cloned into a pET-3d plasmid in order to express and produce a recombinant form of the protein in E.coli BL21(DE3). The induced protein was isolated from inclusion bodies by a simple solubilization-renaturation procedure and purified by ion exchange chromatography on Q-Sepharose to over 95% pure monomeric protein.Recombinant A-protein was compared by biochemical, immunological and molecular methods with the A-protein isolated from atypical A.salmonicida bacterial cells by the glycine and the membrane extraction methods.

TLR3 (Toll-like receptor 3) belongs to the toll-like receptor family which takes an essential part in pathogen recognition as well as activation of innate immunity. TLR3 has innate immune receptors for sensing microbial molecules in addition to damage-associated molecular patterns released from host cells. TLR3 recognizes dsRNA and activation of the receptor which induces the activation of NF-kappaB and the production of type I interferons. TLR3 signaling activation is related with ischemic preconditioning-induced protection against brain ischemia and attenuation of reactive astrogliosis. TLR3 is most plentifully expressed in the placenta & pancreas, and is limited to the dendritic subpopulation of the leukocytes.
