Introduction
MCEE catalyzes the interconversion of D- and L-methylmalonyl-CoA throughout the degradation of branched chain amino acids, odd chain-length fatty acids, and other metabolites. MCEE protein deficiency is an autosomal recessive inborn error of amino acid metabolism, involving valine, threonine, isoleucine and methionine. This organic aciduria can appear in the neonatal period with life-threatening metabolic acidosis, hyperammonemia, feeding difficulties, pancytopenia and coma.

Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 H (UBE2H) is a member of the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. Protein modification with ubiquitin is a vital cellular apparatus for directing abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination requires at least 3 classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s) ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s) and ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3s). UBE2H receives ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. UBE2H protein sequence is 100% identical to the mouse homolog and 98% identical to the frog and zebrafish homologs.

Introduction
COMT catalyzes the transfer of a methyl group from S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) to catechol substrates such as the neurotransmitters. This O-methylation results in one of the main degradative pathways of the catecholamine transmitters. COMT COMT is located in the postsynaptic neuron and is involved in the metabolism of catechol estrogen drugs used in the treatment of hypertension, asthma, Parkinson disease and the inactivation of catecholamine neurotransmitters though enzymatic degradation. COMT appears in tissues in 2 forms, a soluble form and a membrane-bound form which differ in their N-termini.
