Introduction
V-Set Domain Containing T Cell Activation Inhibitor 1, also known as VCTN1, is part of the B7 costimulatory protein family. Proteins in this family are located on the surface of antigen-presenting cells and interact with ligand bound to receptors on the surface of T cells. High level of the encoded protein has been associated with tumor progression. VCTN1 also takes part in promoting epithelial cell transformation.
Description
VTCN1 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 258 amino acids (25-259) and having a molecular mass of 28.2 kDa.
VTCN1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Formulation
The VTCN1 solution (1mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M UREA and 10% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
