Monkeypox disease started in Africa and spread to united stats as well. Monkeypox has very close/similar symptoms as smallpox just a bit more milder and in rare cases can also lead to death.

Vaccinia vaccine might lead to a disease wen being exposed to it and people might get sick when they are being exposed to other people who were vaccinated with vaccinia. Vaccinia has broad cross reaction with monkey pox.

Vaccinia prevents from monkey pox infection and thus the antibody to Vaccinia is used to detect monkey pox. 

People that are vaccinated with Vaccinia will not express positive reaction thus would not infect them.
