Introduction
SP100 protein is Homodimer which takes part in the control of gene expression. SP100 interacts with members of the HP1 family of nonhistone chromosomal protein, such as CBX5 and CBX3 via the PxVxL motif and also interacts with Epstein-Barr virus EBNA-LP.
The major isoform Sp100-A, has a calculated MW of 54 kDa, but exhibits aberrant electrophoretic mobilities, with an apparent MW OF 100 kDa.

Description
Recombinant Sp100 antigen is a full-length cDNA coding having a molecular mass of 54,662 Dalton (pH 5.0).Shows a 79kDa band on SDS-PAGE. Sp100 protein is fused to a hexa-histidine purification tag.
Source
Sf9 insect cells.
Formulation
Sp100 is supplied in 16mM HEPES buffer pH-8.0, 400mM NaCl, and 20% glycerol.
Immunological functions
1. Binds IgG-type human auto-antibodies.
2. Standard ELISA test (checkerboard analysis of positive/negative sera panels); immunodot test.
Applications
Western blot with PBC sera or monoclonal anti-hexa-His-tag antibody.
Coating concentration
0.5-0.9 µg/ml (depending on the type of ELISA plate and coating buffer). Suitable for biotinylation and iodination.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 80% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
