N-acetyl-D-glucosamine kinase, N-acetylglucosamine kinase, GlcNAc kinase, NAGK.
Type
Mouse Anti Human Monoclonal.
Introduction
N-Acetylglucosamine Kinase (NAGK) is a part of the eukaryotic-type N-acetylglucosamine kinase family. NAGK transforms endogenous N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc), a main component of complex carbohydrates, from lysosomal degradation or nutritional sources into GlcNAc 6-phosphate. NAGK is a significant salvage enzyme of amino sugar metabolism in mammals which has ManNAc kinase activity.
Clone
P4D12AT.
Immunogen
Anti-human NAGK mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human NAGK amino acids 1-344 purified from E. coli.
Ig Subclass
Mouse IgG1 heavy chain and ? light chain.
Formulation
1mg/ml containing PBS, pH-7.4, 0.2% Sodium Azide and 10% glycerol.
Storage Procedures
For periods up to 1 month store at 4°C, for longer periods of time, store at -20°C.
Prevent freeze thaw cycles.
Stability / Shelf Life
12 months at -20°C. 1 month at 4°C.
Applications
NAGK antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:500 ~ 1:5000.
